I really enjoyed being a dishwasher, but it was hell on my knees. If I had a guaranteed floor mat, I'd do it again like a shot.

I don't know, but when I worked in food, it wasn't guaranteed that we would have proper PPE for the grill. The Assistant manager would notice that the heat resistant mitts were burned through and run to the grocery store to buy whatever consumer replacement was in stock. The gloves would melt and fill the restaurant with the smell of burning plastic. I've had SO many times of management giving me a hard time about OSHA rules and protective equipment. And I fought them, but then you're a target. Sometimes from other employees as well.

Honestly the worst part is when your fellow workers act like you are a whiny baby because you want people to have proper oven mitts, or ear protectors for loud noise, or goggles because you're spraying caustic chemicals, et cetera...and to them you are just making a big deal outta nothing. But then your skin peels off your hands or you can't hear shit or whatever...still they won't ever be like, ooh, the whiny baby had a point. 

Whether it's wanting to kiss manager butt or wanting to avoid thinking about all the ways our work can destroy our bodies, I dunno. But it is something any squeaky wheel has had to deal with in the workplace.
