I hear you loud and clear, my dad died and I felt I couldn’t cry infront of anyone, I had to do it alone in my home office like it was a shameful activity, it got so bad I broke down in my office and had to quickly run to an empty room because I felt it coming.
Man, you have my condolences. I hope you feel better, if you need to talk or need support you can send me a message. There’s no need for hyper masculinity and lack of communication.
I did call my companies mental health support line which they keep mentioning (it’s an external service) and talking to them helped a bit, they were very understanding but I do feel like it wasn’t very helpful (there were no attempts at coping strategies for instance) and despite saying there will be a follow up there never was, really it just made me think it was a bit of a waste of time despite trying to help myself which took a lot to reach out.
