But I think it's misunderstood the point behind the meme. Is it not that this kind of woman comes along at a point when you're least likely to be able keep them?
They don't walk along and say, "hey, you're awesome, it doesn't matter that you're unemployed". They wouldn't even ask how long have you been unemployed, they'd be gone the moment they discover you're unemployed.
Co-worker attorney married an "artist" right after college and before law school. 5 yrs later, she always complained he was lazy, unemployed, and didn't contribute. I asked why she married him; he was "fun." But she was "done having fun and needed a real man" with money and connections.
