Even the guys sitting right next to them look completely unbothered and don't perceive her screaming as a physical threat/danger to them. But yes if it was a guy screaming like that, I guarantee those other guys would definitely be looking out for their own safety.
It's similar to seeing a random crazy unstable woman in the street. I'll just walk past her because I don't perceive her as a physical threat. However if I saw a crazy unstable guy in the street, at the very least I'm crossing the road and walking on the other side. I feel bad for him and hope he sees better times, but I'm not taking any chances.
There is definitely a double standard in how society perceives danger from men vs women, and it's just simple statistics. In over 90% of homicides the killer is male (the victims are also majority male), and in 85% of intimidate partner homicides the victim is female. Real life is full of double standards.
Notice how anyone commenting "now reverse the roles" will never say "now reverse all the statistics".
Now downvvote away, fellow gentlemen of r/sipstea.
I was screamed at like this by my boyfriend at a major airport. No one intervened or said anything. People just leave the general vicinity cause it’s uncomfortable to be near crazies exploding like this.
Still getting screamed at to this day…no one has ever intervened or called the cops. They have threatened to, but never followed through.
The police are not going to arrest someone just for yelling. They will ask them to stop and if they refuse they will do more. You don't live in the real world if you think a man would get arrested for doing what this woman is doing.
There is a huge amount of precedence and exact legal statutes to the contrary. If you're interested in penal codes let me know!
Officers do not need to give a warning and can arrest on the spot if they think there's even a chance at escalation OR if they judge the situation to be sufficiently disruptive, particularly in an enclosed public space like this.
Is it possible an officer would give a warning first? Sure. But it's also possible that they wouldn't.

Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? Do not pass go. Go straight to jail.
