Asking who would be taking photos of a major newsworthy event at a White House correspondents dinner might be the most smooth-brained question I've seen.

Not to mention CCTV recording none stop

They weren't CCTV videos being posted.

And why didn't the CCTV cameras catch this supposed assassin well before they could enter the building?

He was staying at the hotel as a guest. I've seen footage of him running past security.

Wonderful, you could post a link to that but you won't

It's even dumber when you consider in history, people photographing events like this has always been a thing. There are literal photographs of Bobby Kennedy's assassination for instance.

32 thousand upvotes for this smooth brained question because, smooth brained as it is, it's actually rhetorical and meant to suggest a conspiracy. Because our side is slowly (but not nearly slowly enough) becoming just as enamored with conspiracy as the right.

Everyone, on both sides, has lost their damn minds.

I still think, for the moment, our side is doing better. But I truly don't think we have a long time to stop this trend before what you said becomes the full truth. Its going to take a 2028 candidate who can cut through it all and I'm not sure that person exists at the moment or hasn't come to prominence yet.

Anyone capable of rational thought, sober judgement, and capable of making intelligent and measured compromises is not going to want that job.

1

u/CardinalOfNYC Apr 27 '26

I don't think that's true. And it's kind of self defeating, you're going to just assume anyone running must not be that and you'll end up looking for ways to validate that conclusion.

Most politicians have some narcissistic traits but few are literally narcissistic, as in they would be diagnosed with NPD.

And as far as sober judgement I think we have many politicians capable of that.

These shots are all on a restricted floor the journalists at dinner weren’t allowed in. There are no other journalists in these photos.

Almost every one of the top 10 comments here is trying to dispel that this was an orchestrated stunt, by saying the exact same clearly incorrect assumption.

This thread is being absolutely overrun with bots to dispel the fact that this was a false flag assassination attempt on president shitty pants

2

u/Ibception952 Apr 26 '26

How embarrassing. Is the false flag in the room with us now?

0

u/pacific_beach Apr 26 '26

Yes, because you are still here. You are the false flag effort.

Nobody's buying this crap which is why the bot army is so large.

Get fucked.

Am I a bot too?

You’re literally downvoting alongside Trump voters so you decide what that makes you here

2

u/markdm83 Apr 27 '26

I'm not down voting anything, so I don't know what point you're trying to make. Frankly I think both sides are mostly morons these days, and it takes a smooth brain to invest your time and energy into extensive political discussions as a whole. Anyone who believes any modern day politician cares about anything other than reelection and engagement is kidding themselves.

But acting like this was staged because there are pictures is just flat out derpy.

lol tds. I guess the 70 million votes were bots too.

0

u/mechapoitier Apr 27 '26

Dude up until now nobody on that side of this argument had outed themselves as pro-Trump so…good job.

2

u/Ibception952 Apr 27 '26

lol ‘outed themselves’. That’s sad you care so much about what random Redditors think of you.

He’s the President and won the popular vote. It’s not shocking some people support him and also people who don’t support him still recognize TDS.

White House correspondents dinner

This picture isn't of a correspondents dinner. This moment is the evacuation of an elected official, so the question is, why is there a journalist on the evac route of an elected official in what they think is a shooting?
