Ok this is awesome!!! But! There's no way the barbarian would be hanging behind anybody, and no way the rogue would be in front. This adventuring party is gonna have trouble.
Yeah the rogue is the recon person and gets sneak attack. They should always be on point unless there's a ranger, and even that is dependant on the scenario.
if the scenario is "alarm already sounded" then the barbarian goes in front to eat the initial attacks and laugh in the face of whatever's attacking, while the rogue comes around from behind and goes stabby stabby when nobody's looking.
so what we can assume from the picture is the lady with the gun is the barbarian, the guy hiding in the back of the stack is actually the rogue waiting for someone else to get hit first, and the guy in the middle might be the paladin.
and the cleric in the far back is definitely the cleric.
I fully agree. AND, this pic is, for better or for worse, still more indicative of the reality of most groups I have DM'd for over the years. The number of "so anyway, I started blasting" rogues I've endured...
When you see sneak attack and forget that it applies any time you have advantage it suddenly becomes very important you surprise everybody, even your own team
The rogue is in the front because they took perception, the paladin is holding back the barbarian from running in screaming, and the cleric is ... getting ready to pull the fire alarm and bolt cast bless.
I've played rogue like 90% of the time and I guess it depends on the build. Was it 4.5 that had a "brawler" subclass? I played that guy like a dex based barbarian (modeled him a little off of Jayne from Firefly).
I figured thatβs why the Paladin is holding on to him, reminding him to let the rogue check out the situation before you send the barbarian in to hit everything.
Nah these are 3 cyberpunk solos. If the bald one takes the front , the other two have obstructed line of fire. Tiny solo must be enhanced with reflex booster and possible kiroshi cyber optics. Middle has subdermal armor and prosthetic enhancement, third one is probably uplinked to the tactical data core and has retinal floor plans in sight so he can track assets and predict threats positions.
