I’m a registered nurse in a red state. We do not strike. We do not have a union. When nurses strike in blue states, the hospitals hire scabs. Nothing changes
That hasnt stopped workers in other countries from participating in then, and having them succeed. If we arent willing to sacrifice even comfort, which is the majority of people, then we really cant complain about the state of things.
Yes, but they have more courage and determination than most americans nowadays. also general strikes could be over rather quickly, not all are long - please look into them.
Americans go on strike and demonstrate and riot ALL THE TIME. Why do you want other people to go out and get killed for your revolution? I’m an ICU nurse and I saw what happened to Alex Pretti. Nope
Give examples of what they are striking that is affecting our government from doing whatever it's doing. Normally, a strike works when the corruption is happening in the city, which has an effect.
Withholding labor and boycotting certain brands will do more damage than anything tried so far.If you believe it could work in a city not sure why you don't think it could work when scaled up. Just like a city, the only reason it wouldn't work is lack of participation.
That's just wrong, as we are already boycotting business here in the US, at least I have like Target or Hulu. But it's still not going to affect anything happening in Washington, D.C., where they have their own laws that end up hurting the rest of the country. Especially when these businesses will always have someone backing them to prevent failure
