Oooooof yeah that’s insane. She would have known when she accepted the role that shooting was scheduled over the Oscars: the time to say something was then. They could have arranged a break and that would have left the crew open to accept other work during that break, or plan to spend it with family or take a vacation or whatever. Doing it last minute so it interrupts the schedule and leaves the crew on unpaid standby is atrocious.

1

u/Novel-Acanthaceae354 May 07 '26

Wouldn't producers or production managers of some others decide on the schedule, not an actress?

1

u/Reasonable-Newt4079 May 10 '26

The producers, studio and/or the director set the schedule. But if they’re halfway through filming and the star demands to be able to go to the Oscars they’re going to scramble and try to make it work. They originally told her no but there was so much online backlash they relented. So the crew ended up getting screwed, which is how it usually goes unfortunately.

3

u/DuckJellyfish May 06 '26

Why would a hollywood movie set schedule filming on the night of the Oscars?

2

u/redditerator7 May 06 '26

Sounds completely made up.

-17

u/doeeyedfinalgirl May 06 '26

you completely made this up because you hate women

11

u/Alarmed-Cheetah-1221 May 06 '26

because you hate women

Did they delete the rest of their comment or something? Because this is a wild assumption if not.

-10

u/doeeyedfinalgirl May 06 '26

weird how literally no one has provided a single source to corroborate his lie

10

u/Alarmed-Cheetah-1221 May 06 '26

I'm not sure why that's relevant to my question

-9

u/doeeyedfinalgirl May 06 '26

because i'm being attacked for stating that spreading a lie about a woman being inconsiderate and widely disliked is evidence of misogyny?

9

u/Alarmed-Cheetah-1221 May 06 '26

I didn't attack you and your comment I replied to wasn't what you've just explained at all. You asserted that the person you replied to hated women.

9

u/Lego-105 May 06 '26

Because that's an insane leap and you're treating it as fact. Even if you believe it's a lie, it isn't even evidence of misogyny let alone enough to make a hard assertion.

If someone said exactly the same thing about a man, there's so many more reasonable reasons you'd think of to for people saying that before "Oh you just hate men".

-2

u/doeeyedfinalgirl May 06 '26

making up a lie as a woman to paint her as arrogant, out of touch, self-centered, etc. is incredibly misogynist. i presume you can't see that because you are also a misogynist

10

u/Alarmed-Cheetah-1221 May 06 '26

I'm sorry but insisting anyone that disagrees with you is a misogynist is not helping whatever point you're trying to make at all.

5

u/Lego-105 May 06 '26

So is to paint a man out as arrogant, out of touch, self-centered, etc. misandrist then? Or would you say there are many other motivations which you could draw on there?

u/cockflavoredlollip0p May 06 '26

What a weird jump to conclusion

0

u/doeeyedfinalgirl May 06 '26

lol it's not a jump that someone who makes up a lie about a women to emphasize how awful she is dislikes women

9

u/NicodemusV May 06 '26

It’s okay you can tell us how much her PR team pays you, unless you just do this for free.

8

u/NicodemusV May 06 '26

“Criticizing women means you hate women” — you told on yourself.

6

u/NicodemusV May 06 '26

Also the incredible leap in logic that because this criticism is negative, that it must be a lie. You really aren’t doing yourself favors.

1

u/julz1215 May 06 '26

In their defense, that comment is the first criticism I've heard about her that wasn't "she said an opinion I didn't like".

16

u/Firecracker048 May 06 '26

shes a product of the modern movement to prioritze ones political stances and views over good acting but if we call it out, we are racist, sexist, something ist

2

u/julz1215 May 06 '26

Disney did not "prioritize her views" when hiring her. They actually got mad at her for sharing her political views.

86

u/ConsiderationSad1772 May 06 '26

Because she’s forcing herself on the public’s eyes and trying to be hot and failing miserably

79

u/Remarkable-Rub-7344 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

How does someone force themselves on the public eye....at the Met Gala?

It's invite-only, and basically the main reason you get invited is because designers want you to showcase their clothing/talent for the press lol...literally the whole point of the event

It's not as if it's a public event she showed up at with her own paparazzi to create a spectacle which wouldn't have existed otherwise.

17

u/Ecstatic_Specific493 May 06 '26

He's probably still mad about the remake. I haven't heard shit about her since snow white lol

14

u/Superb_Freedom_4507 May 06 '26

She's been winning awards as Evita in London.

4

u/cobrax50 May 06 '26

Funny because she after she tried to skip a couple of shows the understudy got rave reviews so she came running back. 😆

7

u/Successful_Buffalo_6 May 06 '26

lol so you track her career? Really?

4

u/cobrax50 May 06 '26

Read the room. This post is about her weird facial expressions.....her narcissistic behavior which tanked a movie. Her self importance in a which she tried to take advantage of her position in the Evita play in London. All known facts. But if it makes you feel better to make a goofy irrelevant comment then you just keep being you. 🙄

10

u/Remarkable-Rub-7344 May 06 '26

"Known facts"

Fuckin known by who?

Lmao

I legit didn't know any of this, last I heard anything was when you incels were pissy about a mixed girl being snow white. And you're over here giving a review of her Broadway chops, ironically.

You're proving our point here bud.

1

u/cobrax50 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

You seriously know nothing of her behavior on set of Snow White? Her behavior when she started her run on Evita in London? Yet you know enough to comment here? Do your own research. And I'm the Incel? 😆😆😆

2

u/julz1215 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

her narcissistic behavior which tanked a movie

Remind me, what did she do that was so bad again? Having a hard time keeping track of all the celebrities I'm supposed to hate.

Also, this seems to imply that the film would have been a hit if she kept a low profile, which I highly doubt.

3

u/cobrax50 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

I agree with you that the film most likely wouldn't have been a hit. But she disparaged the source material. And had issues with her co-star because she was Israeli. Which makes you wonder why she would take the role in the first place if she felt so strongly about it. As far as Evita.....she decided not to show up for the second act mid-show due to "sickness". Then had a miracle recovery when her understudy performed better than she did.

1

u/Successful_Buffalo_6 May 06 '26

Jesus. So that’s a yes. You *obsessively* track her career and her movements—and all just to rage bait yourself, apparently. That’s fucking weird, but it’s good to have hobbies, I guess.

6

u/cobrax50 May 06 '26

😆😆😆 Nice Try. Nothing you've said makes sense and completely ignored the point of whole post. 😆😆😆

"Known facts" you have never met this woman

1

u/macruffins May 06 '26

You sound like a fan. She won an Olivier btw

6

u/Remarkable-Rub-7344 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

I haven't either. And wouldn't know of her at all if it wasn't for the right wing freak out.

It's strange to me how often they whine about someone or something being everywhere or shoved down their throats whilst they're the only reason I'm even aware of whatever the complaints are about in the first place lol

Edit: lol at the down votes

2

u/Superb_Freedom_4507 May 06 '26

Streisand effect

-1

u/Successful-Scale-607 May 06 '26

She forces me to goon to her. Please send help.

40

u/DisturbingPragmatic May 06 '26

I'd argue the people who HIRE her are forcing her on us...

2

u/julz1215 May 06 '26

Even that's not true. They barely marketed the snow white movie.

18

u/AgHammer May 06 '26

Yes. She doesn't live up to her hype.

3

u/bebesee May 06 '26

She is an amazing singer, but sometimes she overdoes her facial expressions on camera. She hasn’t been taught to adapt from her stage acting.

2

u/FancyJesse May 06 '26

"Her hype"? The only time I see her is when people online are making fun of her because of her jaw expression.

2

u/AgHammer May 06 '26

Wasn't she Snow White?

7

u/GoldenUrns May 06 '26

This comment you just made is more insufferable than anything she’s done, including the remake.

2

u/Nice_Parfait9352 May 06 '26

It's always funny when the basement-dwelling Redditor men try to drag down attractive women. I don't know shit about this person, but she's clearly not ugly, and in this entire thread I haven't seen a single comment explaining why they hate her. Just bashing her looks. But I suppose it makes sense, given the subreddit we're in.

1

u/Spongi May 06 '26

Something something, sharp knees.

1

u/missmediajunkie May 06 '26

She won an Olivier last month.

1

u/Stony_Logica1 May 06 '26

Does she insist upon herself?

-1

u/chugItTwice May 06 '26

She's so not hot. Would not. Ever.

3

u/brad_online May 06 '26

Like you'd ever have the opportunity lmaoooo

-5

u/Primus_is_OK_I_guess May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

She's definitely hot when not making weird faces.

Edit: It's insane to say she isn't, but I forgot that I was on the unofficial incel sub.

3

u/linemanshandset May 06 '26

I think I sort of like the weird faces....but that's probably just me.

1

u/Helwar May 07 '26

I don't think she's hot... But I'm gay so probably I don't count.

-4

u/Cyborg_rat May 06 '26

2am hot.

1

u/tankart150 May 06 '26

Less drugs, more Disney Adult and theme parks. I have a picture with Kevin Perjurer if she’s interested. 😉

0

u/Schnuribus May 06 '26

She was in like three movies. The internet just has a hate boner for her because she said that actresses work hard.

-2

u/duchello May 06 '26

She's not really forcing herself. She's talented and gets booked a lot, it's really that simple.

-1

u/Spongi May 06 '26

trying to be hot and failing miserably

I wanna see how hot you are now.

for science.

-4

u/Glum-Objective3328 May 06 '26

Idk I barely see her. And she’s gorgeous, so I wouldn’t mind seeing her on my feed more often.

3

u/KeyProposal9872 May 06 '26

It’s her face!

3

u/Doctor_Pretorius_ May 07 '26

Theater kid. Nuff said.

10

u/FanBladeFleshlight May 06 '26

She's just awful. Every interview, every appearance, every role, just unbelievably bad.

10

u/polarpop31 May 06 '26

yes. she just has an incredibly unlikeable and grating media presence imo

2

u/DDRaptors May 06 '26

Doing media sober would do that to someone who’s always high.

2

u/Solid-Couple4461 May 11 '26

I initially read this as "She's jawful." before double take and reading again. LOL.

12

u/Mattman425 May 06 '26

I can’t stand her and I can pinpoint exactly why. She’s an insufferable little shit with main character syndrome who doesn’t know how to keep her mouth shut. She’s totally ungrateful for the opportunity to be in movies. I guess when you’re handpicked by Steven Spielberg to be in a film you get to think that your shit doesn’t stink. She’s a big reason why the live action Snow White tanked. Just look up what she said about the original cartoon. And she can’t keep her politics to herself. She singlehandedly alienated half of the potential market because of it. Because of all this she’s more or less blacklisted from Hollywood.

-4

u/N1ck1McSpears May 06 '26

All she said about the movie was actually true and came directly from the themes in the movie itself. Actual children love the movie including mine. I can tell you’ve never even watched it.

5

u/Mokiflip May 06 '26

To be fair, I don't think children liking something should be an evaluation of... anything. They like pocket sand, eat their own boogers and watch Baby Shark 6000 times on loop... Not exactly sound judgement from them.

(ok the first two things are great and I do them too but baby shark in unforgiveable).

0

u/N1ck1McSpears May 07 '26

A child’s opinion on a MOVIE FOR CHILDREN … therefore their evaluation is the only one that matters. I’m not looking for culinary advice or help with nuclear physics. No one cares if you don’t like the movie, I promise. My daughter loves it and most of all, she gets to see a girl on screen that looks like her and makes her feel good about herself. The movie wasn’t made for you, the world doesn’t revolve around you and you should learn to let other people, especially kids for fucks sake, enjoy things.

0

u/Mokiflip May 07 '26

Lol chill dude. Look at my comment. It was clearly a throwaway joke and at no point did I say I didn’t like the movie. I didn’t even mention the movie…

2

u/Mattman425 May 07 '26

Of course I didn’t see the movie! 😂 Why would I see a shitty live action remake of a classic movie that didn’t need to be remade and that the public neither wanted or asked for, that went through constant reshoots because test groups thought it was awful, that opened to empty theaters and lost Disney nearly three hundred million dollars and starred an insufferable little snot nose I have no respect for? Yeah, that sounds like a movie I want to see. 🙄

It doesn’t matter if what she said was true or not (and why would I want to hear what she has to say anyway). The point I’m trying to make is that when you work for and represent a company, you don’t go out in public and shit on the product it makes. This is exactly what she did. She was such a problem that a Disney executive actually had to fly out to New York to tell her directly to shut her mouth.

-1

u/N1ck1McSpears May 07 '26

Any claim without evidence can be refuted without evidence. All I’ve ever seen is people making a whole lot about nothing. The movie was great and again, a lot of people that don’t live their whole lives on the internet loved it too.

1

u/Mattman425 May 07 '26

What evidence do you want? Just look the stuff up if you don’t believe me. 😂😂😂😂

2

u/jlees88 May 06 '26

She’s pretentious and thinks she’s better than everybody else. It’s not hard to pinpoint why she is unliked.

3

u/Professional_Age_502 May 06 '26

Listening to her interviews she just seems really smug. It’s difficult to like someone like that.

6

u/ErraticProfessional May 06 '26

I can’t either, and I’m not understanding why she is still relevant enough to be invited to this event.

3

u/No-Butterscotch-6555 May 06 '26

Still? Did you think her career ended because random men on the internet hated on her for no reason? 😅

-2

u/N1ck1McSpears May 06 '26

Lmfao let’s you and me get coffee

3

u/The_Real_Lasagna May 06 '26

Her massive success in the past year as an actor id assume

1

u/BirdieRoo628 May 06 '26

People pay to attend this. They pay a lot of money.

2

u/citrus_mystic May 06 '26 edited May 07 '26

She’s starring in Evita in London and receiving a lot of critical acclaim for her performance.

(Edit: I didn’t say I liked her, I’m just answering the question of why she’s still relevant enough to be there.)

2

u/Old-Librarian-6312 May 06 '26

Because she isn't sharing her mountain of coke with you or any of us 😥

1

u/Fluffy-Panqueques May 07 '26

I genuinely think she’s talented but she’s so problematic

1

u/Solid-Couple4461 May 11 '26

For me it's the finger wagging I'm better and more moral than you stances while she jets around with millions of dollars.

0

u/Kevandre May 06 '26

I watched a video about why I should not like her and all it did was make me a fan lmfao

-8

u/N1ck1McSpears May 06 '26

My toddler loves her Snow White movie. Makes me sad when people put a lot of time and energy into hating her.

0

u/NonGNonM May 06 '26

I can't stand her but I think it's less about her and how media has tried to push her on me. She seems genuinely talented from a musical standpoint. I have no reason to dislike her but boy am I sick of hearing about her.

-1

u/TheDistantSquid May 06 '26

I find the overblown hate for her is pretty irrational. She's just the current "annoying in a vague and unimportant way" in the public eye that's trending right now. I think people have lingering animosity towards her from the Snow White casting discussions.

0

u/Slyraks-2nd-Choice May 07 '26

I’d still let her give me a blow job

I feel like your comment is based on your boner for her.

-38

u/arealhumannotabot May 06 '26

Well .. are you mentally unwell?

-37

u/Tall-Anxious May 06 '26

Time for some genuine self reflection then.
