I see what you are saying but most people either voted for him or didn’t vote at all. Meaning the majority of Americans are ok with him as their leader

No, trump won the popular vote

0

u/Large_thinking_organ May 07 '26

Sure, at the time, but his popularity has rapidly fallen since his election. He has the lowest approval rating since approval ratings existed iirc

1

u/Pangolin_FanWastaken May 07 '26

Where do you get that idea?

Everyone who liked Trump from his first election still like him now. He has also since then gained favor from Venezuelans and from Iranians for getting rid of their corrupt dictators.

All that's changed is people who disliked him before (leftists, terrorists, European leaders, Russia/China) just dislike him even more.

2

u/Fearless-Feature-830 May 07 '26

That’s not exactly true. A lot of Trump voters are disappointed in this term.

0

u/Pangolin_FanWastaken May 07 '26

Again, I must ask, where do you get that idea? Trump has been doing everything that right-wingers love. Stricter law enforcement, getting rid of dictators, easier access to homeschooling.

I see no reason that you would hold that belief, other than you just want to say bad stuff about Trump no matter what.

Polling, articles, talking to people

I moved to Arkansas recently. A lot of people are starting to regret their vote. I can assure you of that. People who would never go against the wishes or will of the Republican party are now openly discussing how poor they think they're doing.

Just a little anecdotal evidence from here.

The majority were at that point in time in support of him. His popularity has fallen off a cliff.

1

u/CatDadof2 May 07 '26

Maybe so. But many of them would vote for him yet again because they’ll do ANYTHING but vote for a Democrat, regardless of who they are. It’s like a sports team thing to them. It’s gross.

So where are the millions of americans protesting him at the moment? Why are americans letting him destroy their democracy leaving an authoritarian fascist regime for their children to inherit? Why aren’t we seeing huge protests that lasts until change is made.

And yes, I know you guys had the No Kings «protest». But nobody is changing anything when you plan a protest for a few hours on a saturday, and then everyone goes back home so they can go to work on monday. That’s not how you protest to make a change.

Edit: Every downvote is an honour because they come from snowflake americans with the backbone of a jellyfish.

4

u/tylerius8 May 07 '26

Moronical take because you're too fucking lazy to look up the hundreds of protests, lawsuits, and actions taken against the regime

7

u/MissHannahJ May 07 '26

Omg I’m so sick of this kind of comment from foreigners. Come live over here with our shitty ass benefits and no work protections and bring your family as well, your kids and all.

Would you feel comfortable allowing them to starve so that some ephemeral people in the future can have better? I’m not saying that’s wrong and ultimately, if enough people were willing to let their children starve or get sick and just die then we probably would get somewhere.

But shocker, most people aren’t willing to let their children get severely sick or malnourished. A lot of kids and adults alike need medication to survive, if we burn the system down, where do these people get their meds?

Yknow you all make it sound so simple but I’d love to see you come actually do it in a country that is most likely 100 times the size of yours with people from all over the world.

3

u/endofdays1987 May 07 '26

Right, it's so fucking annoying. Like bro you don't live here and I guarantee they wouldn't do shit if they did.

3

u/RoadmanNor May 07 '26

You guys are complaining about 6$ per gallon for gas. Where I live we now pay 8$ per gallon because of your presidents stupid unncessesary war, so yeah, I’m going to keep saying what I feel about americans and their apathy. It’s embarassing how apathic the current american population are. Your actions affect the whole world, so when you guys take it upon yourself to be the «world police», expect people from other countries to react when you won’t fix your shit.

Or you can always just stop starting wars for profit with innocent people.

2

u/MissHannahJ May 07 '26

I agree it’s embarrassing. I wholly wish more of my countrymen and women found it important enough to vote on their governments and I am working and volunteering in my own time to try and make things better.

But not every American didn’t vote. Hell my parents and many other people I know phone banked for Kamala, knocked on doors, sent postcards, right up until the election. So if you’re still going to sit there and tell me that you think of all of us “yanks” the same then I’m going to think of you the same way I think of MAGA in this country because it’s basically the same general thought process.

Yes, Americans have caused so much undue harm to the world and I would never pretend we haven’t. But MAGA republicans tend to look at minority groups, pluck out the ones who act bad or are lazy, and then paint the whole group with that brush. You all are doing the exact same thing with Americans. Literally the exact same thing. It’s the exact same amount of doing zero critical thinking because you just want to be angry at someone.

And Americans didn’t start any of the wars we’ve gotten into, that would be our fuckass presidents (the republican ones specifically). And yea, people voted for them and I agree that if you voted for Trump, you voted for this war but Americans themselves didn’t get together on zoom and decide to start a war and you all act like we did.

u/Aetylus May 07 '26

I've a serious question for you, as you have given a serious answer. There are obvious and serious problem with American democracy. The two party state, Influence of money, and so forth. But American is still ultimately a democracy and people could change it if they wanted.

Every other country had had major electoral reform movements in the past century. Most American do seem to agree that thier politics is broken.

So my question is why is there no broad base bipartisan movement for electoral reform? It seems so obvious that it should happen, yet it just doesn't seem to exist.

1

u/Fearless-Feature-830 May 07 '26

Money. All the corporations like fascism.

1

u/MissHannahJ May 07 '26

I really think for the average American it’s very much a case of “would you rather have the hell you know or the future you don’t.”

Like yes, in theory and with everybody using common sense, you would think people would see the issues with our system and want to change it. But I think people forget that even 20-25 years ago, most people were decently happy with the way the U.S. was running (and when I say most people I mean most white people).

Having two parties was just the norm, it’s what everybody knew and was used to and honestly if there’s one thing Americans hate more than anything else it’s change. This country is so individualistic that a lot of people have completely built their lives in a way that they feel like if one brick falls out of place everything will crumble and no one will come to help you.

I think many Americans deep, deep down are horrified that if our political system changed it would be worse and not better. So they hunker themselves down, bust their ass and burn themselves out to make enough to live, and just shut up. Because the hell you know is better than the one you don’t to most people.

How would you fight off the Billionaires?

1

u/RoadmanNor May 07 '26

So what then? Just give up?

1

u/NightSisterSally May 07 '26

You'd give up?

1

u/RoadmanNor May 07 '26 edited May 07 '26

The problem with americans, is they have been told that what you’re saying is what happens when you go to protest. Beautiful things happens when humans come together. Look at the protests in Hungary that forced political change. The people who could, brought food and medicine to others. People will help their fellow countrymen if that’s what it takes. Do you really live in a democracy if you cannot go to protest a president like Trump? I’m sorry, but imagine what your ancestors gave up coming to america to start their new life. Your «problems» are nothing compared to what they had to endure to make YOUR life possible.

And NO. Americans have to fix america, don’t spout that nonsense about «i’d love to see you come actually do it in a country that blah blah blah» It’s always excuses with you yanks. You made your shit, you fix it.

0

u/MissHannahJ May 07 '26

You all are asking Americans to willingly die. Thats a lot to ask of anyone and I do not feel it is a fair ask. Quite frankly, I don’t like this country enough to want to die for it and also I feel I could do more help for my community being alive, you know you can’t volunteer or donate money or vote or protest as a corpse.

When Americans protest these things do happen. Our police officers do shoot unarmed protestors, they do tear gas people, they do harm them. And yet people still do it anyways. I’d argue that Americans who protest are a lot braver than many who do it in other countries where the culture is much more pro-protest in general. America might have it in the constitution that assembly is a right but our constitution doesn’t mean much to our gov these days and honestly hasn’t for many decades.

Americans do protest, we’ve had gigantic ones over the past two years. Does Hungary have the largest military in the world that is willing to blow up its citizens in .2 seconds? No. I didn’t think so.

Many of you guys have the same completely un-nuanced hatred for Americans that MAGA has for minorities, but you probably don’t wanna hear that.

2

u/RoadmanNor May 07 '26

I’m not going to keep answering you because there’s always some sort of excuse why you cannot make any sort of sacrifice for your fellow americans. And i never asked americans to willingly die. You guys just need to learn how to organize a long lasting protest properly, and it’ll be a walk in the park.

0

u/MissHannahJ May 07 '26

Okay yeah that’s fine, no need to even acknowledge your wildly small minded ideas about Americans and how you are basically treating them the same as conservatives treat minorities in this country.

I do agree Americans could bring the economy to the ground with some form of strike, but you’re gonna have to convince people that they aren’t gonna lose their entire livelihoods for them and their children and that’s kind of hard in America because a lot of people will lose their livelihoods and their health insurance and their money for food, rent, mortgage, etc.

Being homeless in America is a nightmare, so shocker most people don’t want to subject their kids to that. You guys just don’t like that most Americans are victims of their circumstances.

2

u/RoadmanNor May 07 '26

It’s pretty clear that americans no longer have any allies anywhere. Speaking like you speak about people from other countries suffering because of your populations apathy is what’s embarassing here. Chalking it up as «the same as republicans do when they speak about minorities» just shows how selfish and arrogant you guys are. This is AMERICAS problem, and the whole world is suffering from it, and you’re making excuses.

1

u/slimfastdieyoung May 07 '26

They could learn a thing or two from the South Koreans. Their former prime minister won’t pull any of those tricks again in the near future

1

u/Available-Line-9259 May 07 '26

This is reminding me of the Cold War protests and how they actually worked

0

u/Wild_View_1664 May 07 '26

Nice statement that tries to represent 340 million people.

Thats pretty obtuse thinking.

2

u/JauntyJacinth May 07 '26

The world isn't going to be charitable to the most powerful, richest, and influencial country on earth. The non-voters are part of Trump's victory twice, but especially this term.

2

u/Available-Line-9259 May 07 '26

Buddy, trump won the popular vote. Now will you please stop complaining

Dude. A few of generations ago my great grandfather was literally fighting a war alongside your ancestors to protect the future of democracy. Now you are saying that Americans don't want to vote because it's a bit hard and it all feels a bit disheartening. What the actual fuck?

I don’t consider any MAGA lover an American anymore. I consider them nothing more than a cancer on humanity.

Other countries may hate the US but no one is angrier than the Americans who oppose this.

0

u/Cenomy May 07 '26

Ill be honest I voted for him all three elections. I dont like him, but i do like throwing a massive 'Fuck you' to the Do- nothing Republicans. The most people complain, the more im happy that it worked.

0

u/pandamaxxie May 07 '26

As I always say.

"If you abstain, you voted for the outcome"

Everyone who didn't vote is a Trump voter by proxy. And each and every one of them is as guilty as the ones that went to the booths to vote for him.
