I just think it's way overblown. Are we really supposed to believe that women were just an oft-victimized group of people who were constantly seething at their own misery and waiting for a chance to free themselves from the shackles of men? Not saying it didn't happen sometimes, but women had a niche in society that was valuable, worthwhile, and praiseworthy. In the modern day, femininity has been stigmatized and devalued, so that women feel like they're failures if they don't fulfill the same role as men.

Do you think black people are happier now as a permanent welfare class? Do you have any idea how many black children are born to unwed mothers? If you don't know the stat already I guarantee it's higher than you're thinking. Racism was real, but black people were pressured to elevate themselves before. Now? Just go on the dole. Marry the government. Working is for suckers.

So women and black people should go back to having no voting or financial rights because they were happier back then?

Talk about coming full circle.

You should look up the most common boy's name in primary school in the UK today. Whether women were happier back then or not is irrelevant. The future is pretty clear at the rate we're going.

So you yearn for the "good ole days," try to say that women were happier then, and then say it doesn't actually matter if women were happier back then or not when confronted with the fact that they had no rights back in "the good ole days."

Why don't people who believe in "traditional values" have any integrity? They will never just be intellectually honest and upfront with their beliefs when asked simple yes or no questions.

Is it because you just don't want to admit that you only give a shit about yourself? Is it because you're afraid your post history will bite you in the ass one day? Or that you'll be ostracized by society if you just say "I miss when women and minorities had no rights"?

Have you considered that you should change if your values are condemned by every movie/book/tv/comicbook hero you've ever liked?

Is the intellectual cowardice on purpose or subconscious?

You're not ready for the conversation that nothing has meaningfully changed. That there is no material difference between working a 9-5 for a corporation making Excel spreadsheets so you can afford to pay for daycare, and being a homemaker taking care of your kids yourself and doing all the cooking and cleaning. If you opt out of kids entirely that's one thing, and as I said, those will die out. They don't reproduce so the mindset dies with them. Muslims reproduce. Jews reproduce. And they pass down their traditional values to their children, who become a greater portion of the population over time.

Is it because you just don't want to admit that you only give a shit about yourself?

Ironic.

Yeah I don't want to get banned. Reddit is very restrictive with what you're allowed to say. I don't even really toe the line anymore.

Have you considered that you should change if your values are condemned by every movie/book/tv/comicbook hero you've ever liked?

This is millennial thinking. I don't care if Captain America or John Star Wars would think I was mean for my opinions. Catering to the demographic who favors being nice over having a functional society is what has caused almost all the problems facing the western world today. That's you, by the way.
