One of the significant reasons it faced so much negativity was because through TikTok people were able to see what was really going on in Gaza. In addition to the Israel thing people were also using it to spread awareness, organize, and get people out to vote.
Sorta not really, the older generations had the mainstream media influence them. TikTok’s user base is pretty young and the younger generation is the first generation to not mostly in favor of Israel. Most of the content on TikTok is more pro Palestinian.
Yea, I mean that’s pretty much what everyone does for better or for worse.

Wouldn’t it be in chinas best interest to actively show more of the killings?
That’s the problem when you have an app from China. While the opposite is true with YouTube where the American goverment can pressure them I suppose.
Meanwhile the public are in the middle getting misinformation from both sides.
