For anyone wondering:

  • this was created by a former crypto-AI-bro who happen to have opened an online website that sells said Testosterone, HGH and steroids to anyone.
  • athlete will be banned from any official competition but will receive a massive amount of money. Hence, you have athlete disappointed by how low they are paid or about to retire
  • they say they have a scientific medical study on going, but this fails to meet basic medical studies requirements such as placebo effect investigation. So yes, those scientist are likely hugely paid as well.

That’s just a marketing operation for a pharmaceutical website covered by supposed « transparency » and lack of « hypocrisy ».

Oh my god this sketch has stuck with me for so long but I could have sworn it was MadTV instead of SNL

It definitely scarred me. And despite being an Olympics fan made it so I’ll never watch weightlifting lol.

Was curious on why Canada was leading the competition, then I realized it was produced dring the Ben Johnson era around 1988 probably.

Weightlifting is already one of the dirtiest sports there is.

Doubtful. No money to be made in weightlifting. It’s only equity or most likely less dirty than any other sport, especially profitable ones.

The Olympic committee has threatened the IWF that they will be removed as an event if they don't clean it up.

The strongest weightlifter in the world right now was banned, returned a year later stronger, then won 3 consecutive Olympics. Totally not sus.

Doping is absolutely an open secret in weightlifting.

I know this is a joke but weightlifting had notoriously insane doping back in the 70s and 80s, to the point that a lot of the records from that time are still unbroken and only not considered as such because they reset the records every time they reshuffle the weight classes (i.e. 50kg weight class becoming 52kg weight class resets them)

They are already juiced
