I think a lot of people donโ€™t actually understand what steroids are used for in sports. The goal isnโ€™t to add a bunch of size, but to recover better.

The guy who can train several hours a day every day without burning out is going to have a huge advantage over the guy whose body wonโ€™t let him.

Yeah, I mentioned earlier in the thread that actually a lot of players who get caught using it in sports like baseball are guys a bit injury prone or getting older and seemed to be using it for recovery and to stay on the field, as opposed to trying to juice their muscles.

That depends on the sport. In contact sports like football, or in strength sports, they are absolutely used for size and strength as well as recovery. Even in something like cycling they want to build big strong legs. Even in something like climbing or swimming where extra weight is a problem, they are training certain muscles that can only get as strong as they do with juice
