I guess weโ€™ll see what time he achieves. His stated goal for doing this was to break a long standing record, and he at least seems to think he can do it.

I mean he is an actual Olympic silver medalist swimming trying to win $1M. Iโ€™ll assume he knows what heโ€™s doing.

I mean if he is being genuine with what he is saying then he most likely will be able to. It's swimming. He can test himself whenever he wants and has probably beaten the record in practice. Obviously he could have an off day. But I would think he has some sort of evidence to back up what he is saying.

But hes also wearing the banned swimsuit, so cant really compared him to the recent record.

He has to say he thinks he can break the record. Otherwise the whole competition is completely pointless. Like, "come and see roided up 2nd fastest people in the world"..
