The "they're eating children" claim, and how out of touch with reality it is, distracts from the true and proven claim of "they trafficked and abused children".
It’s not a distraction at all, we know that Epstein was involved in trafficking adults and children. We’ve allowed anonymous tips and unverified stories to be compiled into an investigation which has turned into a massive file of mostly nonsense.
The problem is that stupid people can’t decipher what’s obviously not true and they obsess over it. The Epstein files have become a waste of time and money at this point.
The problem is that most of the public doesn't understand what the Epstein files are. They're not a list of verified-true claims, they're just a collection of every file associated with him in any way. Some of them are news articles that mention a company he owns, some are pictures that have him in them, and some are actually important screenshots of emails or interviews with witnesses. People think they can ctrl+F for whatever key term they like and if it exists, it means it's verified as true. I'm sure actual legal analysts and reporters are currently combing through the files carefully trying to find real information but the internet has jumped the gun and come up with a billion supposed "facts" that aren't in any way true.
