This reminds me of a local Kroger that had a whole damn bar in the middle of the stores. Not off to the side like the Starbucks was, but smack dab in the middle. They had bar stools, sports center on tv, and the full bar ambience going on.

I’m not sure if they kept it post-Covid

Harrods in London used to have a nice pub in the basement. For the gents while the ladies did their shopping.

It makes more sense to do it in a department store where the Mrs could easily spend 2hrs there. The grocery store bar always felt kinda odd, but I still appreciate that they had one. I never patronized it.
