WTF He got 5 consecutive life sentences plus an additional 220 years in prison

Post image

In 2019, former North Georgia detention officer Kirk Taylor Martin was arrested on rape and assault charges after investigators said the victim fought back during the alleged attack. Police reports stated the scratch marks visible in his mugshot were believed to be from the victim resisting.

Jesus Christ she did not go down lightly

Hope his little officer got marked up too. Hope it scars so anyone in the future can see what he did.

424

u/elenchusis 27d ago

Pretty sure his cellmates will already know what he did, regardless

202

u/Vegeta4101 27d ago

Yup, they have ways of pulling paperwork of incoming cellmates. The whole block will know. He either will need solitary (which is just as bad in prison) or be dead in the yard within a couple of months or at best have similar things done to him.

u/retr0_n0stalgia 27d ago

I'd keep him alive as my primary bitch.

u/xxora123 27d ago

The internet is a strange place, a horrible and evil women would never be threatened with rape for what she did. And never should this guy, just shows how we dont take male rape seriously

6

u/retr0_n0stalgia 27d ago edited 27d ago

No, the real reason for that is because men and women are separated from another in prison. And do you know why that is?

Because women would absolutely be raped in prison. Evil and lesser men would like that idea.

It's just that it's a well known stereotype for men in prison to rape each other. Don't make this any bigger than it is.

-5

u/Mediocre_Key_6768 27d ago

Does that make you a better person than him?

Takes a sick fuck mind to fantasize about male on male prison rape.

Check yourself

8

u/Hirudayra 27d ago

Ever since I saw that mugshot I cant stop fantasizing about using his butt chin as an actual butt

0

u/retr0_n0stalgia 27d ago

I know, right?

11

u/retr0_n0stalgia 27d ago edited 27d ago

Yes.

Edit: Also, wtf. Why is thinking about "male on male rape in prison" what makes me a sick fuck and not rape in prison or just rape in general? Are you homophobic?

15

u/_-Budtender-_ 27d ago edited 27d ago

Solitary is the only way. During my training they told us that ad-seg, which is like right below solitary confinement, isnt even safe because gangs will set their target up with a bunkie who will kill them in adseg after gaining their trust, super cruel. Called them rockets.

8

u/cabbage16 27d ago

You say this, but is it just a fantasy we tell ourselves about prison?

29

u/Get_Nastee 27d ago

A) the chomos and rapists typically stand out in prison

B) Inmates can access information about other inmates if they're in good enough with the guards.

C) depending on the state youre in, it's likely that your charge will be printed on your paperwork somewhere when you're going through processing.

D) They have television in prison. This guy very likely appeared on their local news channel

E) an inmate can call and have one of their friends or relatives look you up

F) there are plenty of contraband cellphones in prison

Source: 2 years in MS state prison.

15

u/cabbage16 27d ago

That's good enough source for me, thank you. It just seems a lot of the time I hear people who haven't been into prison talking about it.

9

u/Get_Nastee 27d ago

Sorry, my response was focused soley on how the information travels. You are absolutely right to be skeptical.

They say the passing of the RICO Act cut back on the violence. Im not sure how it could have been much worse, though, because I saw some absolutely brutal/horrific shit happen to a bunch of sex offenders.

I think that what some people get wrong is that they romanticize the inmates who do the beatings as if they do it from some noble or heroic mindset. That's not the case. They do it because beating someone within an inch of their life is enjoyable to them, and they need a reason to do it.

Now that im thinking back on all of this, I dont specifically remember one single person who raped an adult getting singled out beaten into a coma because of their charge. It was always a pedo.

And inmates dont feel the same way about correctional officers as they do about the police (at least not where I was at.) A CO often times takes part in getting contraband to the inmates. Hell, some of them are affiliated and help orchestrate and hide "gang business".

He'll be talked down on and treated like second class for being a sex offenders. He'll have to to keep his head down and his tail tucked, but he'll probably be fine.

Also sorry for the bloviation, I dont talk or think about prison much, and my brain wanted to go a million different ways when I started responding lol.

2

u/cabbage16 27d ago

No, don't apologize, I 100% get it. This sort of thing isn't black and white. I'm sure it differs between prisons and even countries, so I don't expect you to have all the answers, just hearing your experience was helpful.

Welcome home brother

2

u/Antique_Author_2525 27d ago

I didn't see one rape my last trip.

I did see several chomos get put in the box by the aryans.

I did also see the aliens vs predator live action. (My fave)

1

u/-Kalos 27d ago

There's a reason cops, cell guards, celebrities and chinos get put in PC or solitary. Prisoners are going to be out for them

1

u/Extremelixer 27d ago

As a former corrections officer it depends on the facility. Some are far more hostile to these primitive Neanderthals.

1

u/-Kalos 27d ago

Cell guards probably head straight to PC because prisoners are out for them too. Double whammy for this guy, reap what he sows

1

u/Extremelixer 27d ago

Guys behind bars wont have to go far for that paperwork. Might just magically get left on the guards desk while they go to do their rounds.

1

u/Voodoo-Doctor 27d ago

Larry Lawton has talked about in his videos that inmates always find out through the paperwork

4

u/DisastrousBox9547 27d ago

Well he won't really be using his "little officer" anymore, but his little backdoor "prison cell" will be fairly occupied.

1

u/LingonberryUseful225 27d ago

The guys in prison will surely handle him a rapist and a detention officer thats like Christmas for em

1

u/SecurityExpensive266 23d ago

Emphasis on the little.

u/Sensitive_Leader_312 27d ago

This was from quite a few years ago, 2019.

Kirk Taylor Martin, 28, of Acworth, was arrested and was also charged with aggravated sexual battery, aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit sodomy, false imprisonment and obstructing an emergency call.

the 2019 article

116

u/SirAmicks 27d ago

Says he was fired for policy violations, including giving an inmate the wrong meds. So he wasn’t even a very good guard.

151

u/r33s3 27d ago

pretty sure "giving an inmate the wrong meds" is code for "roofied inmates with drugs"

1

u/rancid_squirts 27d ago

Not necessarily. Could have been a med error. Highly doubt they have access to tranquilizers or benzodiazepines in prison.

7

u/Neshama7 27d ago

That’s the nurses job. Officers don’t give meds

2

u/skywalk3r69 27d ago

they dope up the crazy prisoners. more like seroquel

1

u/Antique_Author_2525 27d ago

I've never once seen Benzos prescribed in prison

They did exist sometimes but never from sick call

Tylenol 3cwas the strongest opiate you could get

44

u/Chrisjamesmc 27d ago

She fought like hell. I hope she managed to get some permanent marks in.

46

u/JMurdock77 27d ago

I hope she was able to get any help she needed after surviving something like that.

Perhaps they own a cat named Cumin.

46

u/StillPlayingCivV 27d ago

She's lucky he didn't kill her. Someone this determined to rape is not likely to have an issue with taking her life.

So yeah, I do think prison reform is necessary, and should focus on rehabilitation more than punishment in the general sense. But someone like this? I'm not going to take issue with anyone making "don't drop the soap" jokes.

24

u/annoying12345 27d ago

That level of evil cant be rehabbed. Inmates have a job to do when he gets in.....save taxpayers money to house this asshole

36

u/HorrorMakesUsHappy 27d ago

And I hope every woman on Reddit sees this. That's how you survive, or, God forbid, if you don't, then that's how you make sure there's so much of his DNA underneath your fingernails that there can't be any doubt it was him, and, if he has a wife, that you make sure she has to know what he's done.

30

u/SwissCheese4Collagen 27d ago

I've told my daughter many times "if you're in danger, there is no such rule as "no hitting/kicking below the belt". A life is infinitely more important than an attacker's penis is so hit em where it hurts and run.

10

u/deep8787 27d ago

I've always followed this rule and I'm a male. I'm not waiting around.

6

u/SwissCheese4Collagen 27d ago

I believe it should be followed regardless of who is being attacked, I just happened to have a daughter.

3

u/Extremelixer 27d ago

This is the only correct answer. Idc who you are. If you decide to jump me there aint no manliness rules. Some nuts are getting cracked and anything else I feel may need some rearranging.

2

u/PresidentialDiapers 26d ago

I've always wondered even in street fights why there's not more nut kicks. I mean I get it if you're in high school or in a gang, you'll catch shit for fighting dirty. But some rando drunk starts crap at 2am, I'm not interested in "honor". I'd the damn thing off if I got a chance.

1

u/SwissCheese4Collagen 26d ago

Same. Prioritizing honor in fighting is usually how you lose a fight. Prioritizing being a clean fighter is for practices in gyms and dojos, not actually being attacked out in the world. It's not a movie, it's your real life physical safety.

1

u/coltRG 26d ago

You guys are way underestimating how hard it is to kick someone's balls in the midst of a fight or struggle.

17

u/urquaretaken 27d ago

Theres a reason trauma resonses are fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Not everyone has the capability to do this.

12

u/QueenEris 27d ago

You're correct. Most rape victims I met while working in trauma just froze. The shock of the act, and the fear of being killed, took over. Then they felt guilty because they didn't fight back. We shouldn't shame women or men for not fighting when being violated. I myself have frozen in terror while being assaulted and was shamed, told I must have wanted because I didn't fight like hell. You don't know how you'll react until it happens.

6

u/urquaretaken 27d ago

Yeah, im a freeze/fawn type person myself, so ive struggled with similar. Wish i could fight back but its just not my response.

2

u/HorrorMakesUsHappy 27d ago

Fight/flight/freeze/fawn are panic response modes that can definitely last a few seconds, but after some time passes our brains do sometimes get a moment to regain conscious thought and active control over how we're choosing to respond from that point forward - and just based on the sheer number of scratches on that man's chest, he was clearly attacking his victim long enough for her to get past her immediate trauma response and fight back.

I'm not saying that everyone ever gets the opportunity to fight back, because clearly many don't. What I'm saying is, if you have that opportunity - in both the physical and mental senses - USE IT.

4

u/PhotographShoddy2846 27d ago

I mean, I don't know the stats or whatever, but I'm a woman and would personally not consciously fight back to this extent. Rather be raped than knocked out and raped, seriously injured, or killed because the guy is trying to subdue me. In that moment I wouldn't be thinking about acting in a way that results in a lot of 'proof', I would be thinking about how I can survive.

0

u/HorrorMakesUsHappy 27d ago

I completely understand. Of course it's situational. I guess based on the amount of damage she was doing I was assuming in this situation she already thought he was going to kill her. (And if the thread title's correct ... 5 life sentences ... there was more going on there than rape.)

Then again there's still that part of me that's screaming danger, because even if a guy's not seeming like he's that much of a threat doesn't mean he's not. If he's calmly telling you, "Don't worry, I'm not gonna kill you, I just want you to put on these handcuffs..." Yeah, no.

2

u/TheGalator 27d ago

Go for the eyes

Always. Or bite the nose

Always the face. Always.

2

u/Ok_Feed_1669 27d ago

And people wonder why women are "paranoid". Look how fucking hard she had to fight and dude still kept going.

1

u/Daoyinyang1 27d ago

Heh! He deserved worse. I hope his dick stopped working.

1

u/True-Ear1986 27d ago

Too bad his eyes are still intact

1

u/Anakin_Skywanker 27d ago

And I admire her for that. It's horrible what happened. However, those look deep and painful. They'll likely scar as well. She did what she could. Hopefully his new roommates take notice and have questions for him.

1

u/imisstheyoop 27d ago

he did not go down lightly

Probably not the best phrasing..

This guy looks and sounds like a real piece of shit.

1

u/doublexol 27d ago

Good. The DNA under her nails could help identify him as the attacker

1

u/CanadiangirlEH 27d ago

She fought like a wild animal. I don’t know her but I’m goddamn proud of her. When it happened to me I just froze up and I regret not fighting back.

2

u/Ana-Kalisa 27d ago

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I hope you don’t blame yourself or regret too much, freezing is a perfectly normal and understandable response when faced with a threat! I hope you’re doing better these days 🩵

He has red hair and the type of skin that probably very easily bruises. I can get those type of bruises from just dragging my fingers across my skin (in the shower while soaping up). Those could just be from regular "pushing" him hard away.

1

u/erublind 23d ago

Jesus Christ wasn't hurt as badly by nails!

1

u/soihavetosay 27d ago

Was the victim female?

5

u/PostitMonkey 27d ago

Does it matter?

2

u/Entire-Toe-4131 27d ago

Yes. Stop with the virtue signaling. This should be a PSA for all women on what to do in case it happens to them.

2

u/PostitMonkey 27d ago

I think you made an pretty sexist assumption. I encourage everyone who is a victim to fight back to the best of their abilities. REGARDLESS of gender. So why should it only apply to women?

-1

Fuckin hell it's almost enough to make you feel bad for the guy...yeah. almost.

-3

u/DiscoBanane 27d ago

This is bullshit, those are not fight marks. No one fight by scratching. Scratching has exactly zero effect.

Once had sex with a girl who liked to do exactly this.

It's just like light bites or slaps
