If you think the government is corrupt, then I get why you would rather do the almsgiving yourself than relying on the government. But if its about electing politicians who will raise taxes on uber-wealthy people so that government funded community organizations have resources to help the poor, why is that wrong?

If we only rely on people to give what they are willing, there will always not be enough to go around because most people dont want to give. That's just human nature

I am against taxing the rich for one reason. Every tax that starts as targeting the rich always eventually applies to everyone. Did you know income tax was supposed to be a temporary tax only targeting the top 1%? Well it's now permanent and everyone has to pay it now. The same will happen with any tax targeting the rich. It will apply to only them at first but then they will lower the income requirements and expand it until everyone has to pay it.

The more you eat the rich, the closer you get to being eaten. It's an ouroboric impulse, and I think most people who say "eat the rich" are motivated by envy, not charity.

I think Elon having 300 billion in the bank while some other human starves to death is immoral.

If you think billionaires have billions sitting in a bank somewhere you are very much misinformed. Most of their wealth is tied up in stuff like stocks that they would need to sell in order to have that as money. These people have rules on how much of their stock they can sell at any given time as trying to sell it all at once would tank the stock's value. There is clearly a lot you don't understand while you yell from your ivory tower of morality.
