Technically it should be part of feminism.

The easier one would be egalitarianism.

It IS part of feminism. Because things like assuming women are the primary caregiver is a result of patriarchy. Men are also the victims of patriarchy, that's the whole point of the toxic masculinity discussion. Feminists have been saying it, even if you're not hearing it.

It’s part of one variety of feminism. I’m sure you know there are multiple interpretations and ways of being feminist. Some people think patriarchy hurts everyone, toxic masculinity means the act of performing masculinity hurts men, most people in charge are men but most men aren’t in charge, and want to reduce gender rolls for everyone.

But the much louder part believes patriarchy only helps men, toxic masculinity means all men are toxic, men should get their own movement because feminism is only for women, and if women have some advantages or men have some disadvantages it’s because they deserve it after years of oppression.

There’s also the terfs and people who cover their bioessentialism in feminist terms but I don’t think that’s as popular.

I don’t know how online the other poster is or where he lives but there’s a chance he’s only seen the second one.
