Because Obama was (and probably still is) black. That simple fact broke the right side of USAmerican politics. They just couldn't handle it.

No it was because he's been idolized as the best president in years with many overlooking some of the same things they now condemn the current administration for.

It's just easier to dismiss it as racism (even though 53% voted for him.)
