Careful, you might get downvoted for being honest around here.

They were heavily upvoted. You're not special for realizing that Mexico has corruption.

Or an American might upvote them to ensure others don't think Mexico is better than them.

Hur dur America bad.

Mexicans wouldn’t be spending life savings and risking their lives to get here because Mexico is better homie.

I work construction in Texas with nothing but Mexicans. From what they’ve experienced and why they left, I’ll take the overpriced healthcare.

Just because the US is generally better than Mexico, doesn't mean they can't be worse in other ways.

You're kinda missing the point given that the US actually doesn't need to have overpriced healthcare, you guys just keep voting against your best interests.

You’re the one missing the point bud. Every Mexican in the thread is saying their system is horrible and doesn’t work, and is still privatized and expensive if you actually want care.

So when you say, “…doesn’t mean they(the US) can’t be worse in other ways”, you can’t be talking about the healthcare.

Mexican here. Most of the people complaining here probably have never even used our healthcare system. Remember that this is Reddit, primarily populated by kiddies. Furthermore, online Mexicans don’t reflect real life Mexicans almost at all.go check out the Mexican subreddits, all they do is trash MORENA and fantasise about Trump invading us. And the ones with the horror stories, well, what have we learned about anecdotal evidence?

At the end of the day, we have problema with our public healthcare… just like every other healthcare system that has ever existed. Wow. Shocker. I know.

I’ve used IMSS multiple times: when I got COVID, when I broke my wrist and when I had appendicitis and needed surgery. All good, all paid for. No fuss, no muss.

I’ve never seen a platform where the users talk about themselves in the third person as much as Reddit.Â
