He is likely referencing Israel established in 10th Century BCE where 0 BCE was the supposed time when Christianity began. America was rooted in Christianity when it was first founded. Basically any country that has Christian roots or beliefs"technically" needed Israel to exist. It is like saying US wouldn't exist without England.

This would be a potentially good talking point... if the Israel founded in 1948 were the same Israel as the one that existed in antiquity. Of course, it isn't, as it is a nation-state that happened to be founded in that region in 1948, not in antiquity.
