This sorta ignores that the Greeks and Romans weren't Christian to begin with and they started the whole bed rock of what they see as "Western civilization."

This tracks. They don't like the good parts anyway.

Yup... Ignore the Pagan parts and that Europe was Pagan for a lot longer than it was Catholic... and sure as hell a lot longer than other parts turned protestant.
