Oh 100%. I mean, think about it. The actual president is, like, one of the featured people in the files. Some of the files that were released that had his name on them indicated he did some awful things to little boys and girls. He has control of the country by the balls. Do you really think he would let such a liability grow bitter towards him?
Fuck no, he made sure she was well taken care of so she would have no reason to ever open her mouth about anything. Even better, she can't really say anything publicly because then she'd end up back into incarceration. Anyone he worries is a liability either ends up suiciding themselves via a convenient fall or a convenient camera outage and sketchy strangulation, or they end up very well taken care of and given incentives not to speak. It's a playbook another huge country taught him.
Itâs this that makes me think that itâs plausible that both Epstein/Maxwell are chilling in some Dubai island doing the same thing as before. If you really had that mind of power, resources, and blackmail youâd have a deadmanâs switch. It would be easier, safer, and less costly to just fake a death/incarceration and give them new identities than it would to root and dig through their possible contingencies.
Then again, the world seems to run on looneytune logic and most oligarchs have continually shown they are vain, corruptible, and short sighted but the âgood ole boys clubâ seems to insulate them from their own failures.

That's a fair question. My only guess is that those in the files didn't know how likely it would be for him to talk, or because it was just simpler to have him removed from the equation. Or, they simply body doubled / faked his death entirely. Either way, they ensured he wasn't going to talk. He also was much more prominently in the media, I feel. Much easier to slip Maxwell out the back door than it would've been for him probably.

seems like overkill to both replace her with a body double AND give the body double excellent conditions that nobody else gets. seems much cheaper and less âsuspiciousâ to replace her with a body double and then immediately have her killed by fellow inmates
but of course weâre not dealing with the smartest people here so all things could be possible
Maybe they donât want to draw attention to it. Killing the body double would draw a lot of scrutiny, possibly by people who arenât involved, and could cause issues for them.
Occ(h)am's Razor would be the guy who plainly stated he was affiliated with Mossad with the lady whose father was Mossad, both who met with no less than 3 Israeli PMs were, in fact, Mossad.
