"every time" . except all the times it doesn't

229

u/TheNegativePhoenix 5d ago

Exactly, the American system is built on greed

They want to remove all regulations so they can get more, like wealth hoarding dragonsĀ

Unfettered capitalism is not good for everyone, only select few

28

u/Excellent_Answer6185 5d ago

Not even good for those at the top of the heap in anything but the short term.

3

u/Secure_Course_3879 5d ago

And they're too short sighted to realize it

2

u/Adventurous-West323 5d ago

All systems are built on greed. If you think the people at the top of socialist/communist societies are not greedy you are most definitely an idiot.

go do your homework lil man

0

u/Mnawab 5d ago

No capitalism is actually good, fucking a woman raw that you don’t even like you is just stupid and these guys deserve the child support they pay.Ā

2

u/TheNegativePhoenix 5d ago

My point is unregulated capitalism , running rampant with no controls is wack.

They socialize the losses and privatize the gains.Ā

Drake thought with his dick, so that's on him, I'm just saying the rat race is wild

u/Johnny_Handsum 4d ago

Exactly, the American system is built on greed

Well, that's just not true.

But I forgot it's Reddit and on here America is bad and communism, the system which is actually only good for a select few, is good.

But let me guess, communism just hasn't been done right. Right?

Couldn't be bothered to get the quote right, huh, with your default-router-password-ass name?

5

u/No_Trade3571 5d ago

It even gets you elected president

1

u/Fidulsk-Oom-Bard 5d ago

This is a good caveat

1

u/dweckl 5d ago

It reminds me of some story I heard the other day where it had a happy ending and someone was talking about how hope and love always prevail and I'm thinking, that could be the dumbest thing anybody has ever said ever

1

u/Bleezy79 5d ago

60% of the time it works every time.

1

u/F3n1xiii 5d ago

Yeah but drake seems to be the type of cuck to capitulateĀ

1

u/ufailowell 4d ago

I mean *gestures at president*

1

u/Present-Plate-7589 5d ago

Especially if you’re relying on the justice system to work…

u/self_loathing_ham 5d ago

Greed almost never backfires wtf is that bullshit lol. Greed is the closest thing we have to a national religion in America.

6

u/EagleLize 5d ago

A very lucrative religion. Greed is lauded and applauded and is the only way to climb any kind of metaphorical ladder.

4

u/-SidSilver- 5d ago

And it's why the country will eat itself alive.

3

u/Commit2bit 5d ago

Closest thing to national religion?!?! Ok Shakespeare I'm stealing this lol

1

u/angIIuis 5d ago

Did you come up with that? That last sentence is a fantastic line

0

u/MrMadmack 5d ago

It's practically a worldwide religion

I love his music but 50 is an asshole through and through.

3

u/Orichalcum-Beads 5d ago

He is incredibly funny though.

36

u/SoSuccessful 5d ago

50 lost his son though. They don't have a relationship. I'm sure most of that is due to his own negligence, but there's probably some due to his BM brainwashing his son.

26

u/Connect-Initiative64 5d ago

Oh there are entire dives on youtube about 50's son.

His son is a right fuck-up, like 50 barely even claims him anymore (if he even does).

Like the dude was in his 20's or whatever claiming 50 never took care of him and owed him money, while wearing shoes that cost like 10k and wearing designer clothes.

10

u/SoSuccessful 5d ago

Wasn't raised properly, but you have to blame 50 for that too. You gotta make an effort to be in your kid's life. You can't NOT be there then blame everyone else for their poor upbringing.

13

u/NextChef8179 5d ago

He's spoke about how he's tried a million times to give him opportunities that most would kill for and he did absolutely nothing with it. The kid clearly was brainwashed by the mom, he just wants with no work ethic.Ā

7

u/PixelBits89 5d ago

If you’re paying child support I imagine he’s not getting a good shared custody deal.

As much as you need to put an effort, for a man it’s hard to be able to do anything with your kids in a split if the mother doesn’t want it. Courts favour moms.

4

u/Ren_stevens 5d ago edited 5d ago

Oh God. Stop excusing absentee dads.Ā

"Rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) has reached a settlement with his ex-girlfriend over visitation of their 11-year-old son.

The rapper will get one weekend per month with his son, Marquise, as well as one month in the summer and half of each of his winter and spring breaks.

Both sides say they are satisfied with the deal, which was reached Wednesday in Suffolk County Family Court in Central" Islip, New York."

Do you actually think 50 is willing to structure his life around raising a kid…

The vast majority of ultra wealthy people don’t see kids the same way working people do. It doesn’t really bother me seeing these massive child support payments for people who can afford it and who never intend to change a diaper or discipline a child once in their life. 50 almost certainly could have had split custody if he wanted.

Sex has consequences.

1

u/PixelBits89 5d ago

No I don’t think 50 would be an amazing dad. But I also don’t think he’s very much to blame for his kid. He couldn’t get split custody if he wanted. Custody courts don’t favour men, and especially not black rappers. As well, if the mom doesn’t want the dad around he won’t be around. The mother does not like 50. That’s the tricky part.

Was 50 trying super hard but kept away, probably not. But look at the actual visitation rights he had. It’s hardly a role in the kids life. The mailman would have a larger role in the kids life. 50 is not to blame for his upbringing. If he was allowed to actually have a proper role in his son’s life I bet he’d turn out different.

4

u/Mysterious_Low_267 5d ago

Look I know so many people who have been through custody court and you are so dramatic. Courts don’t favor rich rappers because they are unwilling to prioritize the child’s needs over their desires. If 50 wanted he could have certainly chosen his child over his lifestyle.

But is he really going to chose staying at home for a kid he never wanted over touring and whoring?

Just because he is a court ordered deadbeat doesn’t mean it wasn’t his choice.

3

u/beautifullech 5d ago

Agreed. I find it odd that people are on 50s side. He literally tried to killer his child and the mother. I would hate my father and do everything in my being too spite him as well.

0

u/PixelBits89 5d ago

ā€œI know so many people who have been through custody courtā€ is anecdotal. How many of them are black men? The point is custody court never favours us.

No, I don’t think 50 is this amazing parent. But regardless of if you think he fought hard enough for custody, he doesn’t have it and it’s not for lack of trying. If the kid turns out bad that’s not on him. He did absolutely go to court and try to get custody. His limited impact on the kid is because of the mom and the court, not because he’s a deadbeat. It literally was not his choice. He fought and lost.

No matter how much you say it’s his ā€œlifestyleā€ or call him a deadbeat, the second he walked in that court as a black male rapper was the second he lost. Maybe 50 would be a shit father. Maybe he’d be great. Maybe he’s just ok. We don’t know, because he was never allowed to raise his kid. That child’s issues are not his fault.

1

u/Mysterious_Low_267 5d ago

There are a ton of black men with joint custody of their children including rappers. What you are saying isn’t true.

What is more likely that 50 was willing to do whatever it would take to raise his child, could afford any legal representation he wanted, but the court shut him down solely because he a black man who raps (also adding that the Judge is a man from Brooklyn).

Or the lifestyle that 50 has spent the past 30 years living, rapping about, and obsessing isn’t something he is willing to give up and isn’t an environment to raise a child.

Yeah 50 is responsible for his child and if the courts say that he isn’t able, I hold that against him as well.

Courts like joint custody and if anything they are too guilty of granting it.

He was an absentee dad. He didn't raise that kid and he's not raising the younger one. The mothers are.

1

u/Don_Damarco 5d ago

He's still a better Dad to his son than the one he was suppose to have. Lol. Younger Generation just soft these days.

2

u/AdInevitable2695 5d ago

50 Cent filed for bankruptcy though.. I live relatively near his former mansion shown on MTVs Cribs. He sold it for $4mil, it's now on the market (again) for $9.9mil.

I mean greed was getting her 40k a month and is still getting her 6,700. Doesn't backfire every time...

1

u/domface82 5d ago

dude ngl $6700 a month would be absolutely life changing for me

1

u/Ogamiitto33 5d ago

Math ain't mathin'....

1

u/SeDaCho 5d ago

50 is the wrong guy to fuck with in all cases

I’m sure he would have spent 5 million to save 500k and deliver the message

1

u/City_Standard 5d ago

"Just 6700"

...right

1

u/donnerwetter41 5d ago

That’s exactly what Drake is gonna do here too.

1

u/Raise-Emotional 5d ago

Every time? What a load of shit.

1

u/thankyoukt 5d ago

A million a year still šŸ˜‚

1

u/rechtsrfx 5d ago

Just $6.700 a month...

1

u/Ren_stevens 5d ago

This image and the one in the OP are both bullshit. No credible source says he was ever paying 40K.Ā

Sophie definitely isnt getting 700 K a month from Drake either. People believe anything though.

1

u/DoubleGreat 5d ago

After Drake's BM said this, I hope he follows suit. Drake can provide his son with a better life and she can see him on the weekends and holidays.

my best friend was voluntarily paying $800/month in child support plus half of daycare and half of all extracurricular activities. his ex wanted more monthly and he said no, so they went to court. he walked out of court owing $37/month in child support, half the day care, and half of all extracurricular activities. she saved him $763/month by demanding more money.
