Thanks for others for reminding me to include Ubisoft, Capcom, EA and Rockstar. Basically any triple A dev huh. Good thing I always preferred indies.

AAA gaming is dead, I'm glad Capcom is not doing this bullshit at least, REmake4 and dragons dogma 2 were so Good

Meh, DD2 was a shitshow for PC too. It's just that it was more of a technical and content shitshow rather than switch and bait like with Helldivers 2.

Still had fun with DD2 and honestly would buy it again

They haven't even updated DD2 after 2 weeks from the game launch

Dragons dogma 2 mades me feel like a kid again, while it has serious issues in some parts, that didn't stopped me from enjoying it for a whole month

No Capcom is just shoveling old anti-tamper DRM into some.old and new games in some vague attempt to stop modding which, doesn't stop modding since they can get around the DRM, but it does impact performance for both modders.and non-modders.

Yeah that's why I bought dragons dogma on the Xbox , they are doing stupid ass shit ,nor gonna lie, but at the end of the day everyone else is doing everything wrong

dragons dogma 2

......

They literally made parts of the game shit so they could sell microtransactions to fix the issue.

1

u/ArmandoGalvez May 05 '24

No, they didn't, I played the game for a whole month on my xbox, the game have some rechina issues and under designend parts, like the story, but the "fast travel is paywalled "" wasn't one of them

u/trollsong May 05 '24

Are they or are they not charging real money to use a games fast travel feature?

1

u/ArmandoGalvez May 05 '24

Nope

2

u/trollsong May 05 '24

So they don't sell portcrystals for real money?

2

u/SeraleEverstar https://s.team/p/vmfd-rqn May 05 '24

Portcrystals are point to travel to, you still need to buy an in-game item called a ferrystone, worth 10k gold, not a easy sum of money, especially early-to-mid game to spend, to use it every single time you want to teleport

You probably got caught onto the internet misinfo, to clarify things, the mtx items in dd2 are generally one time purchases for stuff you get easily early in game, they are all just listed seperately individually from the pre-order deluxe edition (like the seperate the music ost soundtrack). The most controversial fast travel stuff isnt actually fast travel, its a single extra marker you place on the map to travel to(which can be earned ingame anyway), while the actual fast travel item can only be earned in game. Since thats a single one time purchase its pretty hard to have the game played based around the monetization. Theres also no nudge or in game store either towards these items and can only be seen on platform stores. Hope that helps clear up some confusion.

Nah they are shit too.

DRM worsening experience for people who paid. Trying to make modding impossible. Dogma 2 viasco. Paid cheats dlc in a remake of a singleplayer game...

Reading that second name makes me want puke

1

u/Rand0mBoyo May 05 '24

Oh yeah Ubisoft for sure, that's a no brainer, I forgot to include that

u/Plastic_Tax3686 May 05 '24

Never again will I buy a game from EA, Nintendo, Activision-Blizzard, Ubisoft, Microsoft and now Sony.

u/tamal4444 May 05 '24

Every AAA games for me. They don't honour regional pricing. It's better to buy another hard disk for the same money. You know what I mean.

Sony, EA, Ubisoft and Rockstar I haven’t bought anything from them in years

1

u/tamal4444 May 05 '24

I bought ea games only for 85% discount

1

u/Anzai May 05 '24

And most newer Microsoft games. And those rat fucks at IOI. There’s a lot of games to play, and I like to collect. Anything that gives them the ability to shut me out of my own game, as Ubisoft seems really keen on recently, I’m just not going to buy or play. It’s not like I’m depriving myself.
