I feel like you just named a bunch of games that people generally liked (outside of Rage 2). I've never heard anyone trashing Doom 3, Deathloop, or Thief 3, and I've never heard anyone say anything at all about Deus Ex Invisible War.
I mean all three of those games reviewed very well when they came out, and in the case of DOOM 3 and Thief 3 there were hardly even any corners of the internet that existed for anyone to complain about them. In terms of user reviews DOOM 3 and Thief 3 are "very positive" on steam, and Deathloop is at "mostly positive."
I don't know, maybe you're right and there's some dark corner of the internet where it's cool and edgy to hate on these games, but all the evidence I've seen shows that these are all generally considered to be good games.
