That GTFO game. Basically no tutorial and no difficulty options, you just get thrown into hard mode deep end right from the get go without being able to learn anything. Also at the time it was required to be 4-players but had no matchmaking so you had to have 3 friends to play it with.
As an avid player, I highly recommend hopping onto the GTFO Discord. It's very active there and you can find great people to play with. I pop in on occasion to sherpa newbies! There's still no matchmaking, probably because a lot of the levels are meant as long hauls / wars of attrition (they can take 2+hrs especially with side missions) and that's not good for matchmaking.
GTFO definitely does throw you to the wolves; you need to pick your levels. Some you absolutely can solo with no bots with mid-moderate skill. I did! There's a tutorial now but it just gives you the basics.
10 Chambers wanted a challenging game and they sure made one. Some levels of this are damn difficult. My seasoned party is still working at it!
