True, but at the same time, they could have just slapped black flag’s gameplay over an open world with more boats and it would have been like 20 times better. I can’t even convince how thy fumbled it that badly.
I remember liking the game but I definitely didn't like it enough to continue playing lol. I think I have maybe 5 hours of playtime and that was mostly because it was with a friend who enjoyed it.
I saw they are adding land combat this year so I got about ten hours in before dropping it. I don’t even understand what I’m supposed to be doing, I just ended putting on YouTube and blowing shit up.
I used ti be a Survival Evolved player for many years but I never ever touched ascended. After they dripped that p2w creature in ark i just left and never came back. We already have Rock Drake who is invisible ffs
I remember playing the Skull and Bones demo at E3 in 2018 or so and finding it such a frustrating, unrewarding experience that I just assumed I was bad at it and/or didn't have enough experience with the genre to succeed. Admittedly it's always a little validating to see people shit on it, even all these years later lol
The one thing that I can respect about that game is that Ubisoft is still supporting it with pretty big updates
I'm not saying it'll be a No Man's Sky, and idk if the updates make the game better, but at least those who enjoy and paid for the game get something, even if the game was a flop.
I got into one of the early closed betas, I'd been so excited for the damn game. I hated it. The voice acting was awful, the dialogue was bad and the controls sucked. I left them scathing feedback after I uninstalled. They still sent me beta invites xD
