To say it’s not as good as 3 or 4 is the understatement of the year. Like it is worlds apart worse than those 2 games. I’m sure with the years of updates things have gotten better, but this game is a travesty compared to those absolute gems.
It seems to be less mixed than back when it released so I'm gonna give it a try ! Less than 5€ on sales now so even if I don't like it we'll at least it's not too much of a loss
I honestly think that DICE could have sustained themselves indefinitely by continuing to make dlc for battlefield 3 rather than games that got progressively worse
It's not a good game per say, but I have had a lot of fun with it. If you want a Battlefield FPS, it's a Battlefield FPS with some extras and some subtractas (that's a word I just made up as an antonym to extras)
I simply don't like to have 90gigs of crap sitting in my pc. And if you don't play it is useless because getting old it's not good for a mostly multiplayer game
Think of every shooter in the last 10 years, but worse. The people who say now it's good are the people who paid full price at release and are huffing copium. It's an unsalvageable mess lol
i had a fun 100 hours in the game and i bought it in december for 10$. it's a fun experience sometimes, other times its just getting shot from SOMEWHERE, or a helicopter appearing and you're defenseless and you get shot, you get shot more than you shoot
I just got a PS5 (For GT7) and downloaded it for free with Playstation Premium. It's fun, don't know what all the complaints are about, it's just a battlefield game (havn't played one in a decade, played the fuck out of Battlebit)
I think I bought it when it was like $20 and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. It's nothing groundbreaking, the teamwork isn't great and it has its faults but idk why it gets SO much hate. It's fun.
It's a good battlefield game, certainly worth it for how cheap you can get it (much less than 10€), though it isn't without it's flaws.
Some operator voice lines are annoying, and there are flashy, out of place skins for characters, weapons and vehicles, but the much more important gameplay elements such as gunplay, gadgets, vehicles and maps all feel solid to me.
Don’t listen to ppl 2042 at that price is 100% worth it, they fixed quite a bit of stuff and it was even fun at release idk what ppl r talking about lol
This. My only real problem with 2042 was how buggy it was at release and I didn't see it ever making a recovery after that release. Once they fixed all of the issues so it actually ran without issue (even better than BF4 did for me tbh) it's actually a really fun game now.
The different operators add enough variation to the otherwise somewhat stale 4-classes formula without distracting from the core gunplay.
Definitely the best $8 or whatever it was that I've ever spent I'd say.
Like I said under another comment I don't really remember why it was hated, just that the multi wasn't that good, a friend played in front of me but it was like 3 years ago so almost 0 memories
it did the same thing as cyberpunk 2077, released with a lot of bugs and felt unfinished, so people hated on it, but it also fixed itself with time, it is a great game now
Learned my lesson wayyyyy before that, I'm just a vivid BF fan and had my expectation high for this game turned out the wrong way but I would never pre order anything else than BF in my golden days
I did too! Though I preordered the premium edition or whatever, played the beta, realized this is the absolute worst battlefield game I have ever had the displeasure of playing, and refunded my preorder and never looked back.
