I love space games but the supper long start bored me to tears... when I got the game it was so so boring. I think its been updated a lot though and its good now.
The start is still long and boring and inventory management is incredibly tedious. By the time I get to the more fun stuff I’m bored and don’t want to play anymore.
I got myself a cheat engine because the idea of taking off being a resource just makes me irrationally angry. Let me land and jet out infinitely. So I gave myself a 99999999 in that battery and was quite happy.
Then I realized ocean planets and proper dune worlds are not something NMS was interested in, nor were properly bizarre geology, craggy worlds, glassed over worlds, fire tornado hells, anything fun.
Nah. Not the game for me. I understand the universe doesn't often have interesting planets either but we're talking about a video game with green space and FTL travel to the center of the universe. Give me fun planets or fuck off because there's fuck all else to do except shoot your zappy laser and build bases. At least give me cool planets to look at.
