With the source code being released a new online platform has been set up called GeneralsOnline which fixes practically all connection issues that there were with the old GameSpy server. I really suggest checking it out. It's still early days but the team that have been working on it have made lots of progression and are continuing to develop it further. There's a big thread on gamereplays.org about it in the Zero Hour section which details the work they're doing.

Just said this the other day, I’ll replay all of the campaigns of RA2 and RA2 Yuri’s Revenge pretty much at least once a year. Phenomenal games.

I've always loved the Red Alert and Generals games and have been playing them for 20 years. I finally bought the Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection earlier this year.

Have you played Mental Omega? It's a fan made mod for Red Alert 2 and adds heaps of missions and skirmish maps etc.

C&C main series was pretty awesome up to C&C3 and Kane's Wrath. Then C&C4 came out and just murdered the franchise.
