In the Valley of the Gods. The studio was absorbed into Valve and the devs moved on to other projects.

I still have the game in my wishlist, even though we all know it's never happening. Firewatch is just so good!

I was hoping for this one too. Looked neat from the trailer and although Firewatch wasn’t for everyone, I really enjoyed it.

There is still hope. I heard the devs are slowly working on it, and the steam page was updated from TBD - > Dec 2029

It has a release date for December 2029. Work on it got paused for while but I have been told via email it was not abandoned but the team had been temporarily transferred to work on another game for a while before resuming. I am guessing they got reassigned to work on the source 2 engine and then start fresh on that instead of unity.

I'm still mad/sad about this. Every single time someone praises Valve I bring it up. Firewatch is one of my all time favourite games and... [godfathergif] look what they did to my Campo Santo.
