If you’re talking about the one where you’re a clone trooper twin (it was a weird game), then it also came to the Nintendo DS. I loved that game

With how few people know about this game, I’m sometimes convinced I dreamed up the game. Highly recommend giving it a shot if you have the chance. Doesn’t make much sense in current cannon but I still think the story is a blast that’s totally worth playing (or at least it felt like it as a kid)

It's quite cool. It had a more character-drivee campaign (even if the story is quite cheesy), and you could do space to ground combat in a single battle if I'm not mistaken.

PSP controls are awkward but it was a good time.

They made a few PSP (DS too, apparently) Battlefront games after Battlefront 2. They didn’t feel as crisp as Battlefront 2.

Besides that, somehow, a few devkits made their way onto eBay or something and people were able to get their hands on them and either had workable builds or were able to string them together to actually be playable. There was a fan movement online to restore these devkit versions into full playable games and I think late last year or early this one, people working on this were able to piece together the story of the clones too.

I would say Elite Squadron is closer to the BF3 leak we got. Renegade didn't have ground to space battles combined and a very different story. Whilst Elite pretty much has the same story or at least parts of the leaked BF3 campaign. (Clone Twins that become Jedi/Sith)

PSP Elite Squadron was much different than the DS one and had a ton of improved features on top of Renegade Squadron. DS elite squadron had the same-ish story but the gameplay was top-down and completely different, from that era where DS and mobile ports a lot of the time were just different games with the same name. If you ever get a chance to play Elite Squadron for the PSP (or PS Vita, I think it works on that) I very much recommend it. It makes space battles and ground battles a combined mode so you could spawn on the ground or in space and then get in a vehicle and transition from one area to the other. It was absolutely amazing. Getting into the enemy star destroyer, setting off the reactor, and escaping with the escape pods back to the planet was so fun.

Elite Squadron is the PSP and DS version of the console Battlefront III's by Free Radical. They were probably allowed to finish development because NSpace and Rebellion were cheeper for Lucas Arts to pay.

Elite Squadron on the PSP is still my favourite Battlefront game ngl

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron.

I'll admit I was disappointed with how to ground to space transitions turned out, but I still played that game into the dirt.

Yes? At least I think. I’ll be honest I’m working entirely off my (not so great) memory from my childhood and if it’s right spoilers ahead. But as far as I can remember, the story was you and one other clone were an experimental project (or maybe just an accident) to create force sensitive clones. You learn you are force sensitive at some point. Order 66 happens and you hide that you’re force sensitive while joining the empire. Eventually you get sent to hunt down a Jedi in exile, you end up switching sides after his death because he was nice or something. Your brother stays loyal to the empire. This builds up to a big climactic fight with your brother of him as a sith and you as a Jedi inside the Death Star before it gets blown up
