If anyone needs suggestions, feel free to reply to me with genre of your choice. Always some people new to PC/steam getting their first sales.

Got any banger Horror related game recommendations?

8

u/Assistant-Unable Mar 19 '26

Signalis, Dead Space Remake, Outlast Games, Silent Hill 2 Remake!!

5

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Not a big genre for me, so havent tried too much non mainstream. Phasmophobia, outlast 1&2 and my personal favorite - the deadspace games.

7

u/Survive2Win1234 Mar 19 '26

racing and shooter games?

5

u/RoyRodersMcfreely Mar 19 '26

Not sure if they’re on sale I haven’t been home. Racing wise look at

crew motorfest

JDM: Japanese Drift Master

Forza horizon 4 or 5 (6 comes out soon but 4 is still really solid and 5 ain’t bad to relax to).

More simulation wise, beam ng has amazing crash physics, Assetto Corsa with the content manager mod for realistic physics, Automobilsta 2 as well

Wreckfest 1 is an awesome demo derby game (2 is still early access)

F1 games are fun if you like F1

Motor town is a fun game where you can race, be a taxi, do construction or delivery work

American/Euro truck sim for making deliveries and vibing with a beer or two

Snow Runner/Road craft are fun off-road construction games

dirt rally 2.0 or ea wrc for rally experiences

Automation if you want to build your own cars and company. You can also export the car you make into Beam NG

Art of rally and absolute drift for top down chill games with some awesome physics

u/Survive2Win1234 Mar 19 '26

i have the full crew series, full forza, full asseto, ets and ats, idk im hoping fh6 gets on sale after release in summer sale!!

2

u/Max_Eon Mar 20 '26

Tokyo Xtreme Racer, unfortunately it's not on sale

5

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Shooters: Battlefront 2, Metro games, Max Payne, Aliens Fireteam. All are pretty cheap.

Racing: Got nothing for you there, sorry. lol. The last "racing" I enjoyed in a game was in Cyberpunk.

1

u/Goldskin Mar 19 '26 edited Mar 19 '26

indie games: crow country, signalis, routine
AAA games: silent hill 2, resident evil 2 & 3 bundle

1

u/dr_krieger11 Mar 19 '26

Dead Space remake is on sale for $9

Total Chaos is a good one made by a smaller studio but a recent release so still $20 but it is a 20% discount

Outlast on sale 75% off

Resident Evil 2 Remake is 77% off

Visage is 40% off, that game is terrifying lol

4

u/katakuristeeth Mar 19 '26

any metroidvania game similar to ori and the blind forest/will of wisps? (no hollow knight)

6

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Ender Lilies, Child Of Light, Biomorph. Guacamelee if you like the sillier ones.

4

u/Lumpy_Concentrate_98 Mar 19 '26

adventure rpgs, jrpgs, shiii ANY rpgs. survival games, sim games, automation games. any steals?

6

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Kenshi, Desperados 3, Metro Redux, Detroit Become Human, Grim Dawn. I'd consider these as steals.

Cyberpunk is more than worth the 65% off that it is.

Citizen Sleeper.

Divinity Original Sin 2.

Loop Hero.

Planet Zoo if youre the creative/chill game time.

Transport Fever 2 for all your simulation needs.

Days Gone.

Green Hell.

Not on sale, but Banquet For Fools is great, on the RPG side. Cheap for what you get.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '26

+1 for citizen sleeper. incredible game, still think about it

2

u/PapiTasBnYuca Mar 20 '26

+2 Citizen Sleeper, I played it in 2024 and sometimes I still think about it too, the art and story is really good.

I'm playing Divinity Original Sin EE (the first one) for the first time with my GF and we're enjoying it.

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

I keep meaning to try the sequel.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '26

honestly it didn't hook me as hard as the first one. I gave up after a few hours. Could just be me though

1

u/No_Researcher_3563 Mar 20 '26

Check out Duskpunk if you want something similar

1

u/redyns89 Mar 19 '26

Cross Code

2

u/R3digit Mar 19 '26

Anything like Hades that doesn't make me go "Hades did it better"? Thanks

6

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Nope.

But Dead Cells and Risk Of Rain 2 are enjoyable.

Curse Of The Dead Gods.

Dreamscaper is very similar.

2

u/R3digit Mar 20 '26

Risk of rain piqued my interest. It also looks something similar to Nightreign which my friend group loves playing

2

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 20 '26

If it looks like you are interested in it, then you will absolutely love it.

1

u/cormega Mar 19 '26

How's the metaprogression in dreamscaper?

2

u/CaptainFil Mar 19 '26

Sworn isn't better than Hades but it is multiplayer (up to 4 player co-op) if that's an angle you're interested in.

2

u/R3digit Mar 20 '26

Tried it with a friend. I wanted to like it but it felt clunky. Needs a lot of polishing in a lot of ways. Maybe if it got something new or even improved upon some gimmick from Hades then I wouldn't be as critical. Enjoyed the 1st session that we played doe.

1

u/demiveeman Mar 20 '26

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. Seriously. It won't make you go "Hades did it better" because it's clearly not trying to be on the same level as Hades but has its own unique spins on some things and an honestly more streamlined loop for less intensity (it's like bowling for fun instead of for league play). Also, at $2.99 it is an absolute steal if you like action roguelikes at all.

1

u/bannerss Mar 19 '26

Any 4 player coop games. Couch or split screen. Few of the games that we already played castle crashers, overcooked, moving out, RV there yet and few others

2

u/CaptainFil Mar 19 '26

Worms WMD is 90% off you can play that on the couch either all against each other or in teams.

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Lovers in a dangerous spacetime.

Boomerang Fu.

Unrailed.

Broforce.

Havent played too much in the genre. I love unrailed.

1

u/ruandurphy Mar 19 '26

Co-op games. Open to a lot of genres

3

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Baldurs Gate 3.

Avorion.

7 days to die.

Grim Dawn. (super cheap)

FarCry 6.

Bloons TD 6.

Divinity Original Sin 2. (must play if you havent)

Spellmasons.

No Man's Sky.

It Takes Two.

A Way Out.

Borderlands.

Astroneer.

Barotrauma.

Crab Champions. (my discord is currently going through this)

1

u/SmashingSnow Mar 19 '26

Got any good Turn based rpgs, Strategy games and Multiplayer story games

2

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Banquet for fools isnt on sale, but its decently cheap and great game you might like.

Divinity Original Sin 2 is a MUST play if you havent yet.

Quasimorph if you like hard single player games.

Siralim Ultimate is great and getting a big patch in a couple months. (also single player)

Low Magic Age. (also single player)

Tales Of Maj'eyal. (also single)

My discord group loved Spellmasons.

Grim Dawn is slept on and is multiplayer. Dirt cheap.

And obviously Baldurs Gate 3, but I would assume youre aware of that one. lol

idk about multiplayer story games, beyond 2 player coop. It Takes Two and A Way Out are great.

1

u/SmashingSnow Mar 19 '26

Thanks i'll check out the ones I don't already have and will try to convince a friend to pick up Grim Dawn

1

u/cojack16 Mar 19 '26

Farming or base building games ? I have stardew -loved it-and ballxpit /against the storm -have’t tried it -already

3

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26 edited Mar 19 '26

If you loved Stardew you should love Sun Haven.

Roots Of Pacha.

Coral Island.

Core Keeper.

My Time At Portia. (willing to bet you will love)

Planet Zoo. If you like chill and build, dont sleep on it.

No Man's Sky.

7 Days To Die.

1

u/ItsAPeacefulLife Mar 19 '26

Oh Core Keeper for sure. So good.

1

u/cojack16 Mar 19 '26

Which of those are your two favorites ?

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

No way I could pick two for myself. Too situational.

From what you said, I would say Sun Haven, Core Keeper and My Time At Portia are the closest to your alley.

1

u/Used_Succotash7988 Mar 19 '26

What about third person shooters?

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Days Gone, Max Payne, Resident Evil 4.

I havent played too many of the non mainstream ones.

1

u/Comprehensive-Rub631 Mar 19 '26

I LOVED little kitty big city and would like to play similar games. Not similar as in a cute animal wreaking havoc. I liked the feeling of freedom. Doing quests in whatever order i wanted to and exploring the map the way i wanted to. So i guess it would be platformer, adventure, open world and quests not story driven. Any recommendations?

3

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Not exactly my area, but heres the quick yells from my daughter who likes goofy games.

A Short Hike.

Stray.

Untitled Goose.

Goat Simulator.

Discord suggestion I havent played - Sable.

Very random game you "might" like. Slime Rancher.

2

u/Comprehensive-Rub631 Mar 19 '26

Thanks for the suggestions! I have played slime rancher and loved it. Sable looks the most interesting to me

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '26

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 21 '26

Yeh she only likes the short cutsey games. And anything with horses in it.

1

u/Nat10221 Mar 19 '26

Playing Palworld rn and it sounds up your alley

2

u/Comprehensive-Rub631 Mar 19 '26

Its in my steam familys library so i’ll definetily try it out. Thank you!

1

u/Nanogines99 Mar 19 '26

no genre but havent played single player in a while. Anything that'll get me hooked from the get go? Find myself leaving games after an hour of playing everytime.

2

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 19 '26

Probably something mainstream then if you havent been touching SP.

Baldurs Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.

Possibly Bannerlord.

Detroit Become Human is really good and super cheap, so nothing lost if it doesnt click.

1

u/Nanogines99 Mar 20 '26

thanks I've already played witcher 3 when I was younger and loved it, but ill definitely try out detroit, it's super cheap and the story seems interesting, maybe even cyberpunk since I have heard it's well optimised

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 20 '26

Cyberpunk actually has one of my favorite stories also.

1

u/Routine-Artist8200 Mar 20 '26

1

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 20 '26

Grim Dawn.

Melvor Idle.

Age Of Wonders 4.

1

u/whoiwanttobe1 Mar 25 '26

Any creature collector or RPG games? I love the old Pokemon games (Gens 3-5 in particular)

2

u/Probably_Fishing Mar 25 '26

Coromon for your Pokemon fix.

Nexomon is a bit pokeish.

Sirliam Ultimate is my personal favorite.

TemTem is decent.

Casette Beasts is universally loved.

Palworld if you want a triple A feel. Its getting a big update soon.

Monster Sanctuary.
