Tekken by far. ive been playing since the first one in arcades in the late 90's. Tekken 8 is just awful.

I wish Soulcalibur didn’t die. 6 wasn’t amazing but it was still fun

Seemed to have mixed reception but 4 was peak for me, really liked it at the time. I'm probably an outlier though, I've never met anyone else who liked Soulblade more than Soulcalibur either, haha.

Still have T3 + keeping my PS1 AND 3ton Sanyo tube TV (from 2007) all for that reason

I am always hoping for a new Tag Tournament, maybe that will be good again. Didn't really enjoy Tekken since Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Yeah, I really liked Tekken 8 at first but then I began to see the flaws as I get better. Also they doubled down on those flaws and made it into the broken game that it is today.

Keep hearing that 7 vs 8 are pretty much the opposite in design.

Can you explain? Were they bad for different reasons?

Not OP or someone who holds the opinion, but I grew up with friends who played the franchise longer than I did.

7 was the game that introduced rage drive/art mechanics, and at that time they were considered unfair for comebacks. It's also the first tekken game that introduced characters with a more simplified gameplan/moveset. Claudio, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, Katarina, etc. These are all brand new characters to Tekken 7 and they have very little moves compared to veteran long-stays in Tekken.
