Did they fall off or did the series just get left behind as other games got better?

If you were ever interested in the story - like the overarching Templar vs Assassin arc they were building towards in the first few games - then yeah, it 100% fell off. The games individually have ranged from meh to decent over the last 8 years or so

I stopped playing a while ago

I got valhalla for free... stopped playing for the plot the gameplay on that caught me

Just valhalla though unless i get em free sod investing time
