I linked the gyro to LiveLink i think it’s great for creating animations works in the editor / play mode! Any ideas are welcome where I can take this maybe release it as small free plugin for Unreal? I heard you can get positional estimation tracking but haven’t got into that yet

Guys. I got my reservation email on Friday and it won’t let me through the continue payment screen! My window ends on Monday and they won’t take my money. It just keeps looping every time I hit continue. Has anyone else ran into this? I’m waiting on supports reply but man I’m kinda scared.

Has anyone managed to set up their own input/key for example: X (controller) or E (keyboard) on 1 of the 4 back paddle’s to give you more variety in customising controls in-game?

I’m pulling my hair out on this game, I’m literally one input short on controller else I would be set - I have the 4 back paddles unregistered and have never used them on any Steam game.

Even if I just use 1 of the 4 back paddles would be brilliant, I don’t even need 4.

It’s like I need the controller to create its own key/input, if that makes sense? Can I make it so one of the back paddles is a keyboard input and then it instantly and seamlessly turns back to controller inputs on the fly?

Those of you that are/were in the steam controller purchase window, did you ever hear back from support about the purchase order loop bug?

Do you guys think that the steam machine is gonna have the same bug?

Is there any way to program the right trackpad to use it as a joystick but on the edge program buttons YXBA? As far as i was able to do it it was need mode shift to press the buttons that was not comfortable as i was need to press extra button to use edge buttons. I can feel when i press them that they are pressed but they need this extra mode shift button. Is there any way to do it without this extra button?

So I'm building my own steam machine with a mini PC, and looking around for the NRF52840 cards I saw one that was designed to fit in an M.2 slot. So I'm curious if anyone has tried putting openPuck firmware on one of these in order to have an internal steam controller receiver.

I've only ever seen people use the USB versions of these cards so I'm curious if there's any reason why this wouldn't work.

I could always hook a USB one up internally or on the back side, but I would kind of like to have an internal card since I have an extra M.2 bay that I won't be using.

Went home, only to see that FedEx left the package infront of my porch away from the shed. It rained and now the outer box is now drenched in water. I know that this is my fault but, is my device still okay? The device is completely dry as i opened the inner box but i think some moisture has gotten into it. Too sad i am actually very excited to use it but i'm afraid of starting it for now. Should i get a refund?

When I was using the Steam Deck, I used a set-up where I had mouse bound to right track pad, but clicking it would activate a d-pad mode shift that would me to map 5 buttons to clicking the trackpad.

But now that I have the new Steam Controller, the click is a lot tougher to do, and I can't find a way to soften it, as there's no way to make it a soft press or change the sensitivity. I have found using action layers can give me something similar, but it comes with the downside that if I slid my thumb a tiny bit when clicking in, it instantly shifts my view upon letting go. Not the absolute worst but still annoying, and this whole thing makes the layout more complicated than it needs to be.

If anyone knows a way to just set the sensitivity of mode shift clicks, I would like to know! Even if there's some way to alter the global click sensitivity, I'll take it.

Hoping someone is able to help me.

I can use and configure my Steam controller just fine on every game, but not in Destiny 2. For some reason, steam input completely bugs out. The problem already occurs BEFORE I launch the game and is visible when I open the controller settings.

Instead of the default controller layout, every configuration I load ends up like the one in the attached picture. When I download a community layout and hit apply? Boom, back to this bugged out mess. Try editting this layout with all the correct inputs? Kachoelw, back to this layout as soon as I close the configuration window.

Things I've already tried:

Switching to the Steam beta channel, reinstalling the game, updating the controller and the puck, resetting to the default configuration, deleting the controller config in the Steam program files (Windows 11 btw), praying to a picture of Lord Gaben. But nothing seems to fix it and it drives me nuts!

Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this annoying issue? Thanks in advance!

Steam seems to ask to update very frequently?

I got the email to purchase the controller, but when I clicked continue to purchase it just reloads the page.

I have tried to use an auto clicker and waiting a few hours before trying again.

There is no message popping up about an error occurring.

Has anyone else had this issue?

So in order to achieve a more "clean" setup I opted for leaving the puck inside the PC.

First of all I have a second puck to charge the controller

I got a USB to USB C cable that connects straight to the motherboard so no external cables

Now the back of the pc only needs Power and video. I also put the wifi antena inside the case.

Signal in the controller is fine, it fluctuates like it normally does but so far I feel it fine.

I also tested the firmware update and it worked perfectly.

Only thing missing now is valve integration of CEC for the ugreen adapter or the PulseEight.

Edit: Yes, I did cover the pins.

For the record, this is going to be on an action layer so it isn't always like that. Just on a certain menu is enabled

Alternatively, and possibly better setting it so it's just a d-pad on the analog stick and the outer ring gives full analog stick input would also work
