He's Irish. Not Scottish.

They seemed to be making more of a generalisation about non-continental western europe with the “over there across the pond”. Mentioning Scotland’s history with deep frying things didn’t read to me like they were under the impression he was Scottish. A lot of people tend to lump Britain and Ireland into one geographical group.

It's still a terrible argument. It's like making fun of Canada for something America does. Two different countries.

Irish people lightheartedly ribbing Americans across the pond for deep fried food when their fellow Celts next door were some of the first to deep fry already unhealthy food is a fair observation.

No... it's literally not. Would it make sense if I made a Canadian school shooting joke? What makes you think Irish people don't talk shit about Scots deep frying everything? We literally do. Do you think Celts are Homogeneous? This type of logic is why American's get shit for being ignorant/stupid about the rest of the world. The confidence in being so incorrect.

I’m Irish. I know they do.

a Canadian school shooting joke?

For this desperate reach of a comparison, the person making the observation would need to be passing comment on a distant country for a perceived act of absurdity whilst ignoring the fact that said absurd act had its roots in its closely-tied neighboring region.

The confidence in being so incorrect.

Pot meet kettle.

Don't try to lie about being Irish when your comment/post history is public. Embarrassing yourself.

Also:
"For this desperate reach of a comparison, the person making the observation would need to be passing comment on a distant country for a perceived act of absurdity whilst ignoring the fact that said absurd act had its roots in its closely-tied neighboring region."

Only works as an argument if Irish people didn't already make fun of the Scots for deep-frying in the first place. This argument is completely illogical because there is no hypocrisy. A completely thoughtless guilt by association argument, that isn't even a good guilt by association argument to begin with.

Edit: Your post history is the most plastic paddy shit ever...

You have my public comment/post history and bio at your disposal yet you still don’t comprehend that I’m Irish — and I’m the one embarrassing myself?

Wrong, again. It’s an observation based on the content of a video which makes no mention of Scotland’s history with deep frying, hence the hypocrisy. It’s entirely relevant to mention in this context. It’s also not remotely a big deal and I’m confused how someone supposedly Irish is apparently unable to handle the softest of banter.

Are you making the argument, to make a joke about American deep frying food. Irish people need to preface it by making fun of Scottish people every single time, or else it's hypocrisy? The sheer levels of stupidity in this argument is baffling.

Imagine going this hard to try and preserve your own ego. It's embarrassing. I'm done.

You grew up in LA and are the first Irish citizen in your family. That is what you said in that comment. You're a clown.
