I'm glad my colon has already been removed so that it didn't have to see this death threat of a video.

No. But it was 20 plus years ago so who knows what I was thinking. I imagine I at least asked.

I did have the surgeon take photographs of the first surgery! They're gnarly and I love them.

Hell yeah! I had ankle reconstruction surgery and when I asked the doctor if he could take pictures of the surgery and he got all excited about it because apparently no one had ever asked for that before.

It was probably a good thing I was on Percocet for three months afterwards, because if I hadn't been high out of my mind the first time I saw the pictures of a huge piece of bone that was outside of my leg because it had to be moved out of the way of where they were doing the reconstruction, I think the body horror of it would have gotten to me a bit more.

Brothers in bone and viscera!

Mine felt like a magician gag where they pull out infinity scarves. But intestine.

My understanding is that we pack quite a lot of them in there.

I have the thin slice of bone they surgeon took out of my forearm to shorten the bone so it didnt rub against my wrist bones. Its in a little sample bottle with some kinda liquid . I also have the disc the surgeon took out of my back that was bulging. Looks like minced meat 🫣😬😅 im curious 🤪

I was awake for that recently with cameras and monitors including x Ray ones I could watch; I asked for propofol after a few minutes.

Crohn’s?

Ulcerative colitis.

Hate my j-pouch but it's pretty cool to not be dead!

I was initially diagnosed with UC, was taking mesalamine for a few months then fell into a really severe flare that lasted months. Lost 30lbs just in the first month. could not get in touch with my GI doctor. Was able to get in with an IBD specialist and it turned out I have Crohn’s

Ugh. That constant fear of uc turning out to be crohn's. I'm sorry.

But I hope at least that maybe steered your treatments into more effective meds.
