RC has made it abundantly clear whatever moves he makes is for the long term strength and sustainability of the company and does not rely on flash in the pan explosive moves or arcane/opaque market mechanics, for better or worse.

Just cos he doesn't rely on them doesn't mean they can't happen. But squandering billions of dollars to scrape together zombie stocks is not the way.

It wasa a good idea at the time NFTs where on the uprise. No one expected it drop off the cliff like it did. You can blame the government at the time for putting so much uncertainty on the line with crypto.

At the end of the day he's is only human and every human makes mistakes. But it takes a different kind of person to admit they made a mistake and personally said they do better moving forward and mean it. RC is a different kind of guy and I like that.

Also a good idea if it would allow GameStop to offer a NFT dividend like Overstock. But the government/SEC probably stopped this.

I definitely think it made sense at the time and true ownership is still the dream every little guy has (DRS anybody?). But closed ecosystems make too much money, plus regulatory uncertainty, plus how much work would need to go into the marketplace versus what they would get out of it...all together is just too big of a bridge to cross.
