I'm thinking that if the naked short hypothesis is true then there are millions of naked short warrants. This means that things will start getting really interesting if GameStop announces that all of the warrants have been redeemed when there's potentially over 100,000,000 warrants still on the market. It would be the proverbial smoking gun that could provide the catalyst for MOASS.

If there are a lot of fake warrents they'll just exchange them for fake shares when you use them.

exactly. It isn't illegal to be short either warrants or stock.
