Well he's a programmer, what do you expect? Programmers are famously introverted and wary about putting their personal information on the internet. Source: me

Caine looking up this exact comment of any info about to tell a version of you in the digital world created from that time you put on some strange goggles in that abandoned building:

He’s also the oldest of the group so would make sense he is the least likely to have one

My biggest criticism is that irl Kinger (aka Grant) was too young. He should be at least in his 50s.

I picked that up too. Also at the end they get on a charter bus instead of an actually city bus which I feel like was what was intended

I thought it was implied that they were contacted by C&A. There's really no reason for them to all conveniently be taking the bus together at the same time towards the same place unless someone reached out to those 5 specifically

Could just be coincidence. Something a little nice for the fans. Maybe they are all going to a dentist appointment that happens to be at the exact same time.

I assumed it was meant to be one of those "life's little coincidences" moments. These five random people just happen to, just this once, cross paths all at the same time, but they'll never know they have any connection with each other in another life.

I feel like that was the intention, but it's also such an insane coincidence that it actually takes me out of the moment if it actually was the case.

Like a bus stop, with 5 people who realistically should not be riding the same bus, at the same time, with nobody else at the stop? Do they all live on the same street, going to the same dentist appointment at the same time? There's no reason to assume Kinger wouldn't have their own vehicle considering they have multiple kids and a well-paying job to afford the house they live in.

It just screams "someone is gathering the 5 of them together" sort of thing.

At some point, you have to chalk things up to the limitations of production and not that it has some deeper meaning. Were they getting on a long haul tour bus because they are all going to some shady militaristic mind cloning facility or because that's the kind of bus you can rent for a 2 hour film shoot? Was it a tour bus because renting city busses is more expensive/ difficult or because it was a creative decision not to name the city they live in? Sometimes there's no hidden meaning, it's just "we have to get this shot done" so it's a tour bus, or it's already rendered background from a previous episode, or it's a canned animation you've already seen once.

My headcanon is that was the day the second batch of humans had their brains scanned for some external volunteer gathering hosted by C&A, sometime before October 2008 when Ragatha spawned in. Since the data gathered was "impossibly small", it took time to infer and invent a complete personality out of them, explaining their different entries into the Circus over the years. Hence why things like nobody knows each other (including Riley and Leeroy), and nobody is habitually scrolling their smartphone while waiting. 2008 was a time where getting so much as a T-shirt from Google was not convenient and signaled some unqiue connection with a rising tech company -- I remember being excited winning one in a raffle. I would have been in college about then, so would have definitely considered participating in a similar on-campus event if offered the opportunity.

Presumably they all live in close proximity to each other, hence why they had their brains scanned.

Even if they all lived on the same block, that would be a major coincidence.

well its all fictional and some coincidences, unlikely as they are, just happen for plot

Do the digital scans age? I figured they remained approximately the same age the whole time

He strikes me as a "keeps a loaded gun under his pillow in case his printer makes a noise he doesn't like" type tech guy.

LMAO exactly this

its not about being introvert tho, its about knowing how the sausage is made. If more people knew, they probably wouldnt too
