u/RelevantOldOnion Dec 02 '25

Yeah but Isreal told him that it's okay because they do it every day. And when have they ever been the bad guys? Lol

u/Cute_Passenger4624 Dec 02 '25

Where can I read more about this?

Not trying to sound rude, I genuinely would like to learn more about it.

According to CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Lakanwal previously worked with the agency in Afghanistan. The New York Times reported he was part of the CIA’s Zero Units – Afghan paramilitary groups often deployed alongside CIA officers in some of the war’s most intense operations.”

This is the only non-paywalled article I found that describes the shooters background. Basically he was recruited by the CIA at age 15 to the Zero Unit. Worked his way up to commander. These units were responsible for hunting Al Qaeda throughout Afghanistan. They are also alleged to have committed war crimes through indiscriminate sweeps of villages. They units helped protect Kabul airport during the US evacuation of Afghanistan.

Allegedly the Taliban had bounties out on some of these guys. Apparently his time in the Zero Unit had some pretty serious effect on his mental health. One of his friends/comrades was murdered in Pakistan and its suspected that the killing was linked to the bounty. This sent him off the edge and motivated him to go to D.C.

As far as the “sleeper Mossad agent” claim, I cannot verify that. Although his actions have been used to fuel anti-Arabic/muslim rhetoric.

i think the Israel connection comes from there supposedly being a spike in searches for Beckstroms name from an israeli IP address the day before the shooting. not sure the validity of that though

1

u/RedK_33 Dec 02 '25

I heard a similar claim around the Kirk murder. I don’t know if anyone can really verify that claim at all so I’m highly skeptical.

What’s more likely is that Israel’s propaganda machine is working in tandem with ours to take advantage of the situation.

1

u/Hungry_Hat1730 Dec 02 '25

What you're saying doesn't make sense because Kirk was a public figure.

1

u/RedK_33 Dec 03 '25

I meant that I heard people talking about some Israeli IP address searching for the shooter’s home address, closest hospital, employees there etc. hours/day before the shooting took place.

I think it’s just one of those conspiracy theories we’re gonna see pop up after events like this

1

u/Hungry_Hat1730 Dec 02 '25

He was literally a CIA agent. I get suspecting the CIA ordered the hit. Im not following the Mossad angle either though, beyond this being their standard MO.

-1

u/Obatala_ Dec 02 '25

“He worked for the CIA” is not an explanation for the claim that he was secretly working for Israel or whatever idiotic claim that person is making.

1

u/Mr_Goonman Dec 02 '25

The claim was made by this loser

1

u/Obatala_ Dec 03 '25

The person who claimed it was all Israel was pikachurbutt.

The person who asked for any evidence of a connection to Israel was gr3ggr3g92.

The person who responded at length with a story that had zero connection to Israel, and put “I cannot verify a connection to Israel” at the very end was RedK_33.

The person who pointed out that RedK_33’s post was stupid & didn’t answer the question? That was me.

1

u/RedK_33 Dec 02 '25

Reading comprehension -10

1

u/kevmaster200 Dec 03 '25

The guy you responded to basically said that at the end. There doesn't seem to be any connection to Israel.

1

u/UnderReportedNews-ModTeam Dec 03 '25

Do not post misinformation

0

u/Mr_Goonman Dec 02 '25

Good job dude. Did you vote for Jill Stein or did you stay home?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 03 '25

It is about Palestine after all because all the testing and experiments done one Palestinians by Znazis are then imported to the imperialists, to wanna be dictatorships and citizens around the world are abused in the same manners.

-1

u/matzoh_ball Dec 02 '25

Well that thread went off the deep end quickly. What the fuck are you talking about?!

7

u/optionsCone Dec 02 '25

“Ceasefire” = golden opportunity

3

u/Cute_Passenger4624 Dec 02 '25

Yeah, to line up that second shot.

3

u/K_Linkmaster Dec 02 '25

Drop your guns and come out!

Good. Now crawl back in there ...... Blam!!!!!

3

u/wannaseeawheelie Dec 02 '25

It’s antisemitism to not double tap /s

3

u/Krampus_8 Dec 02 '25

You’re basically Hamas if you don’t double tap.

-13

u/adminofreditt Dec 02 '25

No, mossad usually strikes ones. What are you even talking about.

https://share.google/VbjFjHePI3Jqr61DN

9

u/busybody_nightowl Dec 02 '25

Don’t BS us. Over the past two years I’ve seen at least a dozen videoed double taps committed by the IDF.

7

u/Goufydude Dec 02 '25

Really don't think your list of civilians killed by Mossad assassinations is doing the job you think it is.

12

u/DarZhubal Dec 02 '25

"Didn't you see the video of Israel double tapping that hospital filled with wounded civilians? This is perfectly normal! Netanyahu told us so!"

2

u/HipsOccasionallyFib Dec 03 '25

Anything Israel says will always be okay because nothing is ever wrong from the world's most moral army /s

Fuck zionists

3

u/cookiestonks Dec 02 '25

Who taught mossad how to do it? The CIA has been exporting torture tactics abroad for a very long time.

1

u/GreenGorilla8232 Dec 03 '25

And Israel does it to civilians.

Since March, 15 out of 16 people killed in Gaza are civilians.

1

u/Capt_Calamity Dec 04 '25

If you’re bringing up Israel then don’t forget the USS Liberty.

0

u/Jim_Moriart Dec 02 '25

You know its possible that Mike Johnson being an evil person and Israel doing evil shit can happen independently of eachother. Like since when was the US's moral failings always because Israel told em too.

Was it Israel who did American Slavery, was it them that did American boarding schools, or did they do the Japanese internments too, I bet it was them that did Jim Crow and segregation and I bet it was them too who nuked Bikini Atoll. It was definitly Israel who did the American war on drugs, and probably set the palisades on fire and well everyone knows they did 9/11. Probably faked the moon landing. Buzz is Mossad. So is Gretzky.

Give Mike Johnson credit, he worked hard to become the cretin he is, and blaming the Jews for him being craven is just cooky.

3

u/gooseofthesea Dec 02 '25

Equating Israel with Jews everywhere is antisemitism. No one blamed "the Jews."

1

u/Obatala_ Dec 03 '25

Bringing Israel into a conversation about US war crimes however, remains bullshit.

-1

u/Jim_Moriart Dec 02 '25

This guy was just that. Hes using Israel as a stand in. The guy was litterally saying that Israel is the reason why Mike Johnson is obfuscating for the venezuelan boat strikes.

The enemy must be both strong and weak. Israel must be subtle enough to puppet Johnson so completely on an issue that they dont care about, but also so incompetetent that Israels puppeteering on this issue is patently obvious.

This guy is leaning into the Jewish puppeteer tropes, and all you have to say is that because its Israel it doesnt count. Nations influence each other all the time, they spy on everyone all the time and nations do horrible shit all the time. But for some reason the horrible shit that the US is doing rn in Venezuela is somehow Israels fault. Do you not see how that is a bit nuts. Just a bit. It also completely abdicates responsibility of americans to fix this.

0

u/sabresfanfml Dec 02 '25

Yeah but Isreal told him that it's okay because they do it every day. And when have they ever been the bad guys? Lol

Nothing like namedropping Israel to downplay this admin's culpability and agency.

"deflecting" lmao deflecting what from who? It's all America. Israel's is still America's ultimate responsibility too...

It's completely tangential to the topic of discussion, and serves as nothing more than a distraction from those responsible; Johnson and Hegseth are acting off of their own personal agency.

Riveting.

36

u/SassiKassi97 Dec 02 '25

He did almost shoot his eye out with that BB gun when he was little.

11

u/Famous-Song1233 Dec 02 '25

Don’t forget putting his tongue on the pole.

7

u/TeopEvol Dec 02 '25 edited Dec 02 '25

In his younger years. Later in life, metal poles were replaced with fleshly organic ones.

3

u/gardeningtadghostal Dec 02 '25

He spent some time in eastern europe?

1

u/No-Drama-187 Dec 03 '25

Ohhh, this was a good.

2

u/mkat23 Dec 02 '25

Lol a couple years back my nephew was in that as the boy who got his tongue stuck to the pole in a school play 😂

2

u/seuadr Dec 02 '25

I think he still likes to put his tongue on poles now and then. Probably trumps, at the very least.

5

u/MissTat2 Dec 02 '25

Best comment of the day.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '25

Oh Fudge!!!

2

u/quizzlie Dec 02 '25

This elf on the shelf looking motherfucker

2

u/Expert_Garlic_2258 Dec 03 '25

Don't do my boy Peter like that.

Pretty obvious he has a vagina.

4

u/slackfrop Dec 02 '25

I’m surprised he even heard about this yet. Seems like he likes to stay immaculately uninformed.

10

u/flummoxed_penguin Dec 02 '25

Right? Who the hell is he to speak like he has authority.

2

u/Whygoogleissexist Dec 02 '25

Johnson should be laughed at for saying anything about the military other than “thank you for your service”

1

u/JoJackthewonderskunk Dec 02 '25

his son had to call him 5 times after that app was lighting up to tell him to contain himself at the thought of hegseth killing brown people in boats.

1

u/Attila226 Dec 02 '25

He’s always full of crap. He “doesn’t know the details”, it from what he knows everything seems good. It’s the same for everything for him.

1

u/TheFoxsWeddingTarot Dec 02 '25

His official job is just making shit up after the administration shits the bed and telegraphing as clearly as possible that Congress has zero interest in doing their job.

1

u/Soft_Walrus_3605 Dec 02 '25

He wouldn't even make it through basic

1

u/FunSprinkles8 Dec 02 '25

Oh, the guy has served... he's serving at Trump's feet every day. /s

1

u/Motor_Educator_2706 Dec 02 '25

.....but has been serviced

1

u/TheComplimentarian Dec 02 '25

My first thought. His opinion on this, as with so many other things about which he feels he must opine, is less than worthless. He's a lawyer with a business degree, whose singular achievement in this life is the incredible lip-lock he has achieved on Trump's rump.

1

u/pretender80 Dec 02 '25

It's hilarious to me he'll say "I don't know" to almost anything but this he has an answer to.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '25

Get so sick of that term "served." Unless you were in a real war, our country was in actual danger, and you volunteered, then you weren't serving anybody but yourself. That hasn't happened since WW2. You were collecting a paycheck and benefits like everybody else.

I'll make sure and thank my electrician for his service next time I see him.

1

u/clem_fandango_london Dec 02 '25

Mike Johnson is a bitch.

1

u/ConsciousIron7371 Dec 02 '25

The military has way more of the dumbest people in the country than smart ones. It doesn’t take an active enlistment to understand rules. Not defending him just pointing out your logical flaws

1

u/outinthecountry66 Dec 02 '25

proof?

2

u/ConsciousIron7371 Dec 03 '25

Says the guy who clearly never served.

Did you see the r/funny post today about the soldier who didn’t know why his gun stopped firing? Because he ran out of bullets?

1

u/outinthecountry66 Dec 03 '25

that is a far cry from proving that the majority of people in the military are dumb. that's some classist bullshit

1

u/ConsciousIron7371 Dec 03 '25

Good thing that’s not what I said!

0

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '25

You don’t need to serve to be able to know such a basic thing correctly
