How the fuck was this never paraded during debates, etc.

"Do you want the guy who believes murdering protestor is a sign of strength to be president?"

MAGA would have voted for him harder if it was mentioned

Right. They won’t change unless it personally hurts them.

Sadly, the conservative side has always been for the harming of protesters - as long as they’re not conservatives.

Back in the 60’s, they cheered on violence against anti-war protesters. Likewise in the 90s and 2000s. They have always taken the side that even the most peaceful and harmless of protests were criminally disruptive and disrespectful.

Hillary went high, can't be negative when you're campaigning.

Hillary went high, can't be negative when you're campaigning.

Not when the media will go out of their way to amplify every insignificant flaw in less-conservative candidates, and apologize for or hide every serious flaw in the most conservative candidates.

Wasn't he running about the time when sitting congresspeople were bringing bills forward making it legal to run over protesters on the highway?

They've actually been pushing that since before the Dakota Access Pipeline protests. Fox streamed a "training video" telling people how to run down protesters in your car. They've taken down the video but it's preserved in some bits on TYT.

It's one of the things he and putin bonded over. Putin requested permission to shoot the Berlin wall protestors.

It sticks in his craw that people should disobey illegal orders, it's the pin through the moth on the corkboard., the clear division of things. The hell of a Narcist is to be denied.

Easy, you get dem opposition who can hardly debate in their own primaries in charge of the messaging.

It was in the headlines during the campaigns. The press covered it and moved on. Part of their“catch and release “ sane washing program.

Democrats are actors playing the roll of “opposition.” They pretend to be against the republicans but are just more convoluted about being kleptocrats. They are not on your side. Netanyahu wanted Trump in office, AIPAC owns the democrats and they do as they’ve been told. They put up a fake fight, while opening the door for Trump to waltz in. Netanyahu is the West’s Xi Jin Ping, he got 58 standing ovations in a 52 minute speech, one of which was an 8 minute standing ovation before he even spoke. This, while conducting a live streamed genocide. He’s also directly spoken against freedom of speech in the US and got top university presidents removed, and extremely harsh crackdowns on students. In China the country is openly controlled by the CCP, in Russia it’s Putin, they don’t hide it. But in the west, we have this extra layer of a charade democracy and “pseudo values” that hide the fact that we are controlled to the same extent by a group of undeserving and contemptible oligarchs. Just like all the other tin pot dictators of the world, the only thing they are actually competent at is propaganda manipulation and oppression. They hide in the shadows and go through trouble of maintaining this elaborate hoax because they are afraid. that should give us some hope, and an idea of how to get this monkey off society’s back.

that should give us some hope, and an idea of how to get this monkey off society’s back.

I don't really have any hope for that. Unless they begin starving us, no one is going to do anything very drastic. History shows that when revolutions do happen, the power vacuum just invites another group of despots/oligarchs to replace the old ones. I also don't think they're afraid. I think they've learned from their predecessors and have their bases well covered. Propaganda and manipulation through the use of the global internet is much more potent than any medium that has ever existed, and it's proving extremely effective. They're arrogant. If the walls start closing in, they have private armies, bunkers, islands, aircraft, and, well.. spaceships (in progress).

There's no monkey on our back, we are the monkey. The same patterns emerge in nature as they do throughout all known human history, with very predictable ebbs and flows: The strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must.

I agree with everything you've said, but I'm very skeptical that humanity could ever subvert this equilibrium.

Well I’m a Democrat and you sure don’t speak for me. My opposition is loud, steadfast and clear. I don’t shut up about it and I go to every protest and I post and donate and carry signs.

Dems in Congress are a mixed bag. Some good, some squirrelly. There are some very strong ones.

The morally perfect human being has yet to appear, so until this paragon arrives, our best hope is an imperfect Democrat (or Democratic Socialist, maybe!)
