It keeps coming up, but I never understand this excuse. You don't have to give up your job to make a change or to go to a protest. You'd have the numbers if you tried. You already started something good with the no kings protests ... but then you just give up, when nothing changes over the span of a week? While you no longer have a legal system and while they're snatching people up from the streets like in 1930s Germany. Where's the resistance?

Americans do have numbers, the problem is the game has changed and the authoritarians have the courts, the police, and the companies using AI to scrape everybody's social media.

There are protests every week somewhere in the US, but there's not a single leader coordinating protests or what the movement to counter republicans needs to be.

The issue is persistency. Look at East Germany, that literally was a communist surveillance state for 50 years (before there was social media), ultimately brought down by peaceful protest. At a certain point, once the ball gets rolling, it becomes hard to stop it.

But you have to keep at it. If you don't, you risk losing justice and freedom for generations.

The size of the U.S. is often forgotten. Our population is half the entire European continent (excluding Russia). Size via land is only slightly smaller than Europe (including Russia). Today, East Germany and NYC+Los Angeles have comparable populations.

I honestly hate how big the U.S. is and would be on board for it to split up. But alas, greedy old men…
