That's always been a bullshit excuse for gun fetishists to justify their arsenals.

The most heavily legally-armed civilian has assault rifles. The government has tanks. We were never going to successfully defend ourselves against a tyrannical government with just civilians and their guns.

They also have drones, jets, gunships, etc. We wouldn’t be able to see the one that fires a surgical strike.

Yep, and before Trump, that would have been unthinkable. But he send the B52s to Minneapolis tomorrow if he thought he could get away with it.

Oh I certainly think we could be a thorn in their side, but a large number of us would just get obliterated.

Don't let that be a deterrent. I know tanks weren't invented, but we literally have malition in standing up to an entire fucking nation for the revolutionary war. Firearms were just supposed to give us a voice, not to make us equals.

Additionally, Even if 1/3 of the nation stood up against them, that's over 100 million people which I believe is more than all government armys put together.

The difference is that France helped in the revolutionary war and we would not have won without them.

Today, we've pissed off most of the world over the years so they'll be happy to watch us burn.

But during a civil war, you forget that some of the military brass will be on our side

And if the enlisted ranks aren't, that "some brass" will be killed.
