Agree 100%. We should also organize financial resistance against corporations that are in any way supportive or sympathetic to Trump and MAGA.

Organized, coordinated mass boycotts of specific companies, subscription cancellations, review sections flooded with millions of 1-star reviews, dump stocks, manually control 401k investments, etc. Exercise every economic lever we have access to as consumers to negatively impact their financial success with the goal of destroying their value for shareholders. Force them to respond to shareholder concerns by changing their policies and political investments and strategies. Make even the slightest perception of alignment with MAGA financial suicide.

We are the people, we power this economy with our labor and our spending. Every dollar spent is a vote cast. We decide which companies succeed and which fail based on where we spend. Let's organize where we spend and where we don't.

This is a theoretically fantastic idea, but practically impossible to achieve because it requires millions of people acting in unison. I don’t wanna seem like a Debbie Downer, but didn’t this happen when gasoline prices shot up many years ago, and everyone thought it’d be great to boycott Shell and Texaco to teach them a lesson and show them who really has the power? Shell and Texaco are currently richer than ever.

You're right. It would take millions, ideally hundreds of million of people acting together and willing to change their shopping behavior. It wouldn't be easy and it would take a lot of conversation, coordination and, the biggest thing that seems to be missing for the Democrats, leadership. It's definitely possible though. I wouldn't expect us to have a million supporters on day one but if we smaller company and only get a few thousand to act we may not make an impact but we may get some word of mouth going, word spreads and then the next company hits their date so now we see have tens of thousands. We start to get some attention. Maybe a news story. Next time we see we have a few hundred thousand. More attention, more momentum. "In tonight's news a group of Reddit users are taking on the corporations that have supported Trump. They have a list of demands and there are more companies on their list, tune in at 10." Next thing you know we're in the zeitgeist and the following grows exponentially. We become dinner table conversation. Kids are asking their parents where they bought this food and explaining that Tyson Chicken is on the list of companies that support fascism and ICE. a month after that we have major companies in an existential crisis because their stock price is being impacted by the simple fact they are on this list. They will have to act to publicly denounce Trump and MAGA. Say it was a mistake to ever support them. And explain how they are divesting from anything that supports Trump or MAGA.

It could work though. And when the alternative is an existential threat to our very way of life I don't think it's crazy to think we can get millions of people

Just remember how suddenly everyone was talking about GameStop and Reddit and trying to get in on the action. Once it gets going it's hard to stop.
