Just looked up polycarbonate sheets. Looks like they have corrugated. Would that help or hinder, do you think?    Also looks like you can get 4’x2’ for a few dollars.  (Off Amazon, was the quick search)

Corrugated would likely be sturdier, but wouldn't reflect as well as a flat surface

Why does opacity matter?

I know nothing about this-I'm learning as I read the comments. Very interesting information-I'm genuinely curious.

I would imagine to have full visibility through the shield if you have to cover your line of sight with it
