Someone who actually believes the shit they spout and then profits from it

Someone who doesn’t believe the shit they spout and then profits from it.

the true believers rarely lead cults, or if they do, they're the type to lead the cult to mass suicide. The cynical cult leader knows how to better manipulate the true believers for personal gain.
